Hey, I was curious where I can find team compositions from recent tournaments, recent tournament data etc…

I am pretty new to the game and liking a few different classes so I was curious which ones appear to be needed in teams more frequently. I understand a lot of this might change with the elite specs. Any speculation?

Ele everywhere (stacking the profession in most of the cases)
1 thief per team everywhere.
Outside of these two it is a mix of mesmer warrior engineer
Sometime you can have a guard a necro.
Seing a ranger is like seing a comet: almost never happen and disappear immediately.

Just run at least 2 dd celementalists and a sig necro and you’ll do fine.

With HoT the meta might change. But I think it’s safe to say that mesmer will definitely stay in meta. Ele.. Likely, but unsure.

You can check out weekly ESL or AG. Most recent large scale tournament was WTS Cologne though.

Most teams will run two eles and a cele signet necro. Thieves are hit or miss and generally have to be able to multi-class. For example, Toker plays Engineer on Foefire. Past that Mesmers and Engineers are both strong, with Rangers being viable, but most teams aren’t comfortable running with them.

One other way to go with the comp is to build around the core of Bunker Guardian, Zerker Warrior, and Cele Ele. The elementalist can watch home, as well as support mid if the bunker guard is in trouble. The zerker warrior just tears through cele classes while surviving due to bunker guard support. That’s the strat that both the Radioactive and Apex comps are built around.

This is just my observations on the NA meta. I know EU has an odd fascination with Shoutbow for some god awful reason.

Thanks Olrun, that is informative. I am really inbetween maining a engineer, warrior so I was poking around comps to see which are brought more and what roles they fill.

I think Warrior only really works as zerker warrior in a bunker guard comp (I disagree with EU’s shoutbow fetish), whereas engineer is easier to fit into a comp.
