It turns out that the problem with PVP wasn’t unbalanced classes or broken cc. The real issue was that I didn’t have a proper way to ridicule my opponent after beating them!

Now the winner is placed on a pedestal to dance on top of the losers’ corpse. All is well!

The only thing that is lacking is that I still cannot repeatedly sit on top of the corpse to make a ‘pooping’ gesture (anet can you fix that?).

Anet got pvp correct round one with gw1. After near 5 years the gw2 team is just realizing the mistake of pvp is conq.

PvP is not player vs player , its point vs point. We had stronghold ranked but Idk what happened and it got removed . Same for the deathmatch (which look like réal pvp).

PVP/WvW is dead because now its only Condi/CC spam and in PVP/WvW you auto win when have more Condi/CC in team.Right now PVP is big unbalanced joke with perma condi stacks and CC spam.

More condi you have, more chance to win you have. Same for CC.

True, one day they’ll hear me and make what has to be made. Two different games with different gameplays: Competitive PVP and casual PVE. Both coexisting, for ppl to play your games instead of playing, let’s say LOL, Hots, WoW, etc.

@Pecar You are right. But it´s not only the cc/condi spam, it´t the spam of everyhing basically. Heal, condi, cc, condi remove. It has been a problem for years now and it always just did become worse.
If nothing comes with the expansion you can forget about it. It´s a pve game now.
And I wouldn´t count on anet, seriously.

If you want “PvP” instead of “node vs node” then play more 2v2’s in custom arenas. Duel enough and you’ll be able to PvP better in Conquest by winning 1v1’s, 2v2’s on side points.

If you’re tired of having teammates who let you down in Conquest, get with people who wont. Make a team and compete against other players who are also good at 1v1’s and 2v2’s.

Spammm everything = HoT PvP.

Before HoT:
I pay attention to the opponent’s action and react to decide what skills I want to use.

After HoT:
I pay attention to my skill bar, and rotation all skill when they are CD. Seriously, I can write a script to run them.

Their are PvE is funny (LW) and PvE is no need to balance. But Raid need and this will kill the balance of PvP.
If we talk about Raid, that is 2007 game mode. People do the same thing, same dance, same action to kill the boss every day, every week like a bot and get the reward. That ’s a farming and boring.

Yeah I don’t think conquest was or is really the problem. The problem is more that it has been conquest for five years, had they added something new and fresh during the time when we had high population maybe people wouldn’t have left.

In pve you have 30mins of fractals, weekly raids, then you can do 40 farm or SW to get gold, which honestly you would get more enjoyment from a part time job, converting money to gems, at least that way you would actually get the legendary weapons you are after.

We are know where are the powercreep come from. RAID and PVP can never coexist. They are two different system. They have to do somthing to keep the players, but don’t go to wrong way. A game have no equipment competition, raid for what!? that ugly armor!? They did not provide reasonable reason for the players to do farming.

And I have reason to hate, I have bought a game expansion pack that give up PvP , WvW (Hey~ Where is the stronghold now?) Ho! some things are wrong, it should be
I bought a expansion pack that just have raid + 4new maps + per 3 months LW + farming+powercreep with no PvP, WvW, 2 week update, mini game, holiday update…..

Anyways, I still love this game, otherwise I will not continue to spam nonsense in the forum. I know they will have some new attempt in the next expansion, hope they will choose the right way this time.
