PVP or Capture VS Capture
New modes would be too easy and revitalizing to pvp, Anet will never do it. I mean just look at all the variation in FPS games, team death match, king of the hill, capture the flag, all these would take all the fun out of the same ol’ capture the point of the same hand full of maps we’ve been playing for a couple of years now xD
that type of game mode has no strategy. It’s just pick the squishy and focus down quick.
only capture you can win in PVP … Is this PVP ?
I always think PVP is Focus to kill and defense your ally
Capture VS Capture you can win although 0 kill.
I think Capture the flag is a good idea
Capture the flag from enemy base to our base for team point at least you can be kill although you’re Bunker build ,if your ally can’t defense you from enemy!
PvP is about outplaying your opponent. It’s not all about killing, if it were then it would get very stale and predictable.
Pure combat is a very small aspect of the game, objectives make things far more dynamic as it doesn’t revolve around 100-0ing someone, or wiping a zerg.
PvP can be far more complex than simple arena style deathmatches and ganking, control points is an example of that but isn’t the only option we can have for competitive and thought-provoking PvP.

Many people seem to think that in conquest you don’t have to “focus to kill and defense your ally”… Which is why you are susceptible to going totally mad when solo queuing these days.
Please do not think that you don’t have to kill other players or defend your team mates. Thanks.
deathmatch would be better w/o rally off kill. because once the first player is dead, and the other team has all 5 up, its over.
need more Death match maps which the size of the map is based around 2vs2 roaming in a map sized and desgined around 5vs5’s big enough to roam and get +1’d but not small enough to snowball if one player dies.
need more maps slightly bigger and also (if you could Please add the old Ghostly hero from gw1 again in the death match modes gives you more of a reason to defend while gaining points and using tactics to draw players away from your ghostly hero.
to try and bag that quick win.
could change death match to the old gw1 pvp style a map 5v5 with a ghostly hero escorting the hero Succesfuly to the shrine(king of the hill style only gains points while the ghost is on the shrine and gets contested if both teams ghosts are on the shrine)
gains that team points which contribute to the DM points , this map could be Halls of the Ghostly king. O;o look at that a better version of DM.
Actually you wouldn’t realise how much the PvP side of Capture actually comes into play. I queued with some guys from Svanir Pushing Lord where we ran double sentinel decap engie alongside cele ele/engie with a thief. We won a good 10 games in a row but nearly all the games went to timer and the ones that didn’t ended in the last 2 minutes.
Most of my average games finish around the 7 to 8 minute mark which is a huge contrast compared to if you build a team designed just to hold caps.

Definitely agree. Conquest is nice, at times.. but it would be great to have a separate queue and equal number of maps for Deathmatch.
