Path of the Ascension Achievements
Unlikely. The time for those achieves ran out in the previous season. They were supposed to be removed and an additional way of obtaining the backpack made, but instead Anet decided to just tweak them a little and let them stay. As such, it’s likely that they will stay at least until the end of this league year (so, 3 seasons more), possibly indefinitely.

I was wondering because technically the current season began last year (it was December, wasn’t it?)
I hope they keep it. I have the elite wing stage (last stage until the legendary form with glider) and I joined in the pvp seasons late and only just now got to 6/11 of my achievements for the Season II. Since the reward items are tied into the making of the final piece. I have everything else but those annoying achievement locked ones. Would be awesome to know that my hard work of trying to finish the achievements in the next few days is not in vain, or at the very least know that in future seasons I can still get the reward items necessary to forge the final wings of ascension.
