Also – I want that helmet! Was previewing it the other day in the locker and laughing at how massive the horns are, must have.

My team fell apart due to everyone quitting because of Necro meta. Then my backup team just had too many people and decided it wasn’t worth fracturing the group by cutting down to a main 5.

I honestly really wanted to show up and at least smash a few teams before struggling in the semi/finals. I’ve beaten tops teams before with random friends and know I could climb pretty high in the brackets. I’ll have to find 2-3 great players and talk them into grouping with me within the next few days or I won’t be able to compete which would be a shame. I don’t expect to win but I want to compete.

There are some really good teams that aren’t being talked about anywhere. Guess we’ll see. hint hint

I watched it today and played a couple of matches and I was fighting a couple of necros I noticed protection popping up with their spectral armor. Haven’t payed attention to that and only did due to watching that show.

My damage/burst/backstab on D/P was nullified to say the least every time they would pop up.

I honestly think meta or not its not about that (generally speaking). I have personally got days where I am too bored to move my fingers. They really need to revamp classes, traits, sigils, weapon sets, utilities, elites and tone some stuff down but that is another story.

I hope in the end you will participate as well. I am extremely looking forward to see the NA one. Always more interesting, entertaining than EU which is boring, stale and unimaginative.

We worked out the kinks and are getting practices back on track after a one week break. We’re about 90% sure the 5 core members will be competing at the qualifiers without a sub.

But there’s still a chance we can get screwed. XD

One of the biggest failures of this tournament system is they don’t show the brackets of which team is going to face which team and so on. They fail to hype it internally.

People don’t even know who all is going to be in the qualifiers except the qualifiers themselves and a few friends of theres. Theres no one to cheer because nobody knows whose even in the qualifiers except for the obvious.

I think that’s a good thing, so we can’t sit in a game and figure out how to counter comp for a week.

I joined up with a friends team as their 5th it seems. Haven’t signed up for the tournament but I think we’re pretty decent. Maybe not #1 but certainly above average. We’ll see.

Probably not, we’re working on new strategies for the Pax Qual so it’s in our best interest right now to not let some things out (like our splits or decision making process, builds we’re using etc.).

We’re keeping things close to the chest except for people who snoop in our tournament games (cough Blu, Grouch, Android)

I have to think its fair to say we won’t see much balancing in the next patch, due to this tourny. I think it would be pretty rough to make any major changes besides fixes, so my guess is the patch after the next one might be a big one?

They already said no major changes till after PAX for the very reason you bring up.

Don’t worry guys i’ll represent Ostrich/NA style dual kit engies. I tried talking him into playing with me since 4 engies 1 guardian comp is not only super OP but the most fun in GW2 history. He really doesn’t want to compete though.

See this kind of information should be coming from developer or tournament organizer, but it didn’t #fail. This is why you guys don’t get high numbers in twitch feed because failure to announce, publicize and advertise this kind of information.

When the tournament starts if you want high numbers, have a message in middle of screen telling everybody in NA “The PvP tournament has begun” and shoot everyone an email of where to watch it because if you don’t know or not some people don’t even know where to watch this kind of stuff.

Anyways Jumper X team going to woop everybody candy kitten because he on roll in the leaderboards undefeated streak a big one as well and going undefeated in tournaments is defiantly a big morale booster and de-motivational booster for his/her opponents, also being #1 on leaderboard will even more so de-motivate them.
