I would like to know if we are getting any disciplinary features for people who purposefully AFK in a match due to anger issues, trying to spoil it for the rest of the team, etc.

In all honesty I have had more people AFK before a match is over (when the game isn’t even lost) than I have people not show up to make it a 4v5 from the start.

It’s still strange that there’s not even a report option for this. People who ruin the experience for others because they “feel like it” is not an excusable thing in sPvP in my opinion.

For example, this literally just happened in my solo queue where we had a two cap with the third node being decapped, down 450-400. The thief on my team decided to purposefully AFK because of a player on our team doing poorly. How is that fair to the rest of us that he gets off free for ruining it for the rest of us?

Also note, there’s a difference between people who altf4 the game and people who sit in the base and do nothing and do not get penalized. Both should be treated equally but nothing is/can be done about the latter. I’ve asked this question before but it was misunderstood.

I know the type, god’s gift to PvP. Most of the time they spend the game spamming the chat, telling everyone just how badly their team mates suck. I bet everyone who PvPs frequently in any game has run into the types of kittens you describe. Luckily most PvP communities evolve over time to be pretty good in policing themselves. Word gets around, and repeat offenders find themselves out of a guild and no team to scrim with. Clinical cases notwithstanding, most reets act out in order to gain attention and they typically have the attention span of a banana fly. Odds are the cretins will soon grow bored and migrate to other games to act out their delusions of grandeur. Sure it sucks to be the one stuck in a match with said character, but luckily it’s a self-correcting problem that is ironed out pretty quickly. Either they tone down the trololol or they get to play alone with their legos in the corner.

Players shouldn’t expect Anet to police everything, the community also needs to step up. A case in point – On EU, there are at least two fan club guilds named after prominent soloQ crybabies. I’m a proud member of both of them.

Prince Vigador, do you read this thread? Unfortunately, there’s a limit to what can be done on such issues. A new report option dedicated to this kind of players would be nice, but you can’t have a report button followed immediately by a sanction. How do I know if the power ranger on my team always losing far in a 1v1 is a troll, or just bad (the build was chosen totally randomly, no hate here)? To be fair, it doesn’t happen that often, most people have better things to do than crying for attention in a MMO.
