There’s somthing i dont understand. From the latest Developer AMA on Reddit on March 5 Anet seem to confirm your match making rating is only used to create YOUR team.

cit: “Right now, for the purposes of matchmaking, MMR is currently used when searching for players to be on your team (unless you’re in a pre-made group, of course)”

Your team. That means it does NOT use your mmr to also look for opponents that are similar to your level. In that case on the other side you can get whatever.

If this is the case then forgive me but this doesnt seems like they put more than 10 mins of thought into it and I’m taking a hike. Someone please clarify this. Thanks

Yes. The same works for the other team which can have a higher MMR. And those who benefit from it are like puppies peeing all over themselves with excitement.
