I have a question regarding MMR-based grouping:
I have a friend, and me and I have, playing alone in Emerald (I know, still quite low) an average winning chance of about 70-80%.

The weird thing is: as soon as the two of us join the queue together, out teammates completely forget how to play DC etc. We just lost about 10 games in a row.

Is there an Explanation or better, a workaround for that?

Jup – and the division distribution (at the games end) is actually quite even, its just that when both of us join together, our teammates seem to get very very bad.

It’s the system working as intended, one of yall have a pretty bad MMR so you both suffer with pvers as team-mates being fed by the system to a team of much higher overall MMR, hence “fixing teams to win or lose by default”. Matches before was chosen by random so you had somewhat of a chance when you solo queue. Now players are just out right being chosen to win or lose before the match even starts with little to no competition. This is done all in the sake of putting the Elites from last season into ruby and above with little to no resistance.

Basically those icons of what you see over people heads right now just means they’ve been hand fed divisions by Anet’s new ingenious match maker system where most likely you whole pvp ranked career this season, is dictated by the first few matches you play coming into ranked this season. But no pressure, all is well if you lose these first three or four matches cause after that you better be able to carry the rest of you 4 teammates on your back or L2P or Get gud, or whatever.

My advice is just don’t solo queue yet at all and wait till all the pros and esl teams get out of the lower tiers and into their Anet given tiers. Once they are gone in about a week or two then start queuing up for ranked in order to save your MMR and get put on teams of ever better players and manipulate this system to your liking, and be granted a free pass like many others before you and enjoy your 15 plus game crushing win streaks.

They should just hand them their ranks outright, and spare rest of us frustration….season 1 i was at 55% wins, now at about 4%

my mmr is so rock bottom now that I’ll never get good one again, and will forever get people who have no idea what to do on map, or even come to pvp without amulet

Only good thing is that many players will leave game in frustration, and been good company, Anet will notice they’re losing money, so they’ll have to give us some free stuff soon to try make people back

Wasn’t team MMR, like duo que and such, just supposed to go with the mmr of the highest ranked player?

At least that’s how I saw it since a friend of mine was miserable because he was stuck in the losing end with a 15 loss streak so I qued with him so he would get a different matchup and win some matches.
