I don’t really mind Revs, they have their strengths and weaknesses like anything else, but, Phase Traversal not needing los and going through walls is garbage.

Look at the RUT and range compared to the very few skills that act in a similar fashion. Even with shadowstep etc you need to physically SEE where you’re going, not just target someone and hit the key.

Ok. And respectively everything should need los. But, all those things aren’t as scary, I’m not gonna get hit for 7-10k immediately following a skill like JI, again, that has a 45 second RUT.

Judges Intervention into True Shot combo has downed many players. (can 1 shot Thieves and Eles)
I know because ive done it many times.
Now you could say Phase Traversal has a shorter cd but it also has an energy cost attached to it too.

This is the definition of banging your head into a wall instead of realizing the pathing and positioning to the left.
L2p issue in this video.
Use it against revs all the time.
Skill still strong with the unblocked 2 attacks.
Skill needs CD increase, any anywhere comparable skill has by far longer CD (usually 40+ sec).
@Burtnik.5218: idk why you are surprised at this. Any thief (and mes for that matter) player knows from which places and to which places you can’t port. It has been like this since launch. And thieves rely on ports waaaayyy more than revs.
If the nerf everything patch ever happens, it’s definitely in order for a phase traversal nerf. I’d probably predict a nerf to 16 seconds in cooldown, (and Riposting Shadows refilling 25 endurance). It’s good to promote other skills/legends for decent intra-profession balance.

It happens on flat terrain if you have a small stone on your way as well. Its also fails to teleport ona ledge where mes/theif ported jsut fine witohut any issues. L2p issue too? And lastly, JI didnt had any issue whatsoever to teleport unlike PT. Explain me this l2p issue?

Very much doubt such long CD will ever be added – I could see increase in Energy requirement to 30-35 or shorter range, but adding 5s+ cooldowns really negates whole idea of energy management which is supposed to be profession’s mechanic.
Also, in order to promote other legends they also have to first fix said Legends. Currently, any PvP Revenant build without Shiro is mediocre at best.
As for OP – this is common among all shadowsteps. If it’s to be nerfed, I would rather see global nerf to shadowstep mechanic as a whole and save LoS ignore behaviour for very few specific abilities with cooldowns.

That would require completely rework for thieves/mes/guards and co.
Idk if anyone remembers but at some point on chinese servers they nerfed ports to such extend. The crap storm was so intense that that patch actually never made it to NA/EU.

Both arguments are pretty irrelevant, of course targeted teleports require LoS, and yes, even if you go to the other side of a wall/roof you still need to have LoS to the area you’re targeting.

It’s not only this wall, you can go through all 4 walls of that building. And it’s not only ground targeting since you can use Steal or Phase Retreat too.

And it’s not only this map or destroyable terrain. For example you can use steal or other targeted teleports to go trough the mountain on Forest of Niflhel.

every single teleport in this game needs to work like shadowstep with target circle instead of auto teleport on target and need to be gated with high CD, or should not go through LOS
main reason why this game’s pvp is full of bs and will never be esport

But what happens if the thief casts infiltrators arrow, then while it is still in flight uses one of its other shadow steps to position it self in an area that would not have LOS for where the infiltrator’s arrow lands. I actually don’t know the answer to that.
