Guild Wars 2

I haven’t played Guild Wars 2 for almost 8 months. I am back again for the PvP specifically. I have so much to learn, especially with the Trait system and Specializations.

My first question to the experienced PvP players…
1. What profession can Tank/Bunker the most efficient now? I mainly like playing with high sustain and good crowd control or support and healing.

Most of the time before the new system my playstyle/build was always defensive; high sustain, slowly chipping away health, crowd control usually going all the way down the Vitality line and putting the rest where I see needed. Never would I be squishy, even as Thief, my favorite build was built around Caltrops/Bleed and Sustain.

With all the new stuff I can’t see my playstyle being viable anymore or at least I can’t find any solutions. I feel no matter what I build, it gets melted. I guess since I haven’t played in months I am not used to the new meta/playstyle

Anyone care to enlighten me?

necro/engi are pretty tanky right now with good sustain.

Sounds like a Druid would be right up your ally

High sustain right now is scrapper, can tank in a most impressive way while using marauder amulet.

While I haven’t tested but paladin amulet sounds like it is something like the old rifle soldier engi (good damage, incredible sustain) besides that, as pointed, another recommended profession would be druid.
