Players? who don't play!
Right click > report > “botting” > pray
That’s the best you can do sadly
Today I got the next type of afker:
I don’t care about the match, I’m only here for the daily, so just lose quickly.
The more I play, the less I like the idea of dailies in PVP

^^This.
I recently also opened a support ticket to see if I could get a response (or action) regarding a particular habitual Afk’er who I had been matched with a few times.
Got a nice polite reply but suffice to say, as far as I can see the player in question has been playing pvp everyday, so no apparent action was taken.
Here’s a suggestion though:

Reporting a player for “leeching” specifically was a thing in GW1. And I miss it. If enough players from a match (lets say 7 out of 10) report a player for afking or leeching, the dishonor time out should be automatically applied and that player should get 0 rewards (no league progress, no reward track progress, etc)
“Leeching
Reporting a teammate for leeching gives that player 2 dishonor points. If at least half of your team reports this player, a further penalty will be applied preventing any faction or XP gain in this match. If, however, a third or less of your team reports this player, you will also be given 2 dishonor points for issuing an unsupported report. Players with 10 or more dishonor points are temporarily prohibited from participating in PvP.”

(yes, i’m aware this can be abused. just like everything else. thats a different topic for a different day)

And that can totally be abused by players queueing together against solo players.
And it’s not a different topic.
It would cause more problems than it would solve.
lose a pip,win 2 pips,lose a pip,lose a pip…………..-

I did state that I was aware that it could be abused. I wasn’t going to open up that specific can of worms, but oh well.
No matter what they implement, there is the chance of it being abused. There is 0 way around it. kittens are going to be kittens.
Unless they completely remove the ability to report from the players hands. At which point they are left with 2 options: hire people to watch every player in every game or just ignore everything. Neither is an ideal option.
At least with the GW1 method, too many reports could in turn get you banned for abusing the system, since your account would get flagged. And there was a limit to how many reports you could submit via a 24 hour period (50).
