If the elite specs are going to remain mostly the same, I would implore the devs to buff the 2 (maybe 3) most underwhelming elite specs atm. Tempest, berserker (and daredevil? I quit my thief so idk but I’ve heard many people say it’s very underwhelming.)

As for how, here are my suggestions:

Tempest
-Remove 5s cd upon attuning to element in order to overload
-Rework minor traits, at the moment they merely serve to make tempest barely usable. We need better minor traits that actually help tempest instead of being core to its viability.
-Rework shouts. We really need to get out of cantrips dependency. Hence we need better shouts, on par with cantrips. Condition removal wise mostly.

Berserker
-The whole warrior needs a trait redesign. Core traits are spread out too much, leaving warrior stranded with always being lacking in something.
-Make fast hands baseline.
-change cleansing ire to removing conditions upon usage of burst skill instead of hit. With the availability of blind spam across all classes, I’ve lost count of the times cleansing ire has failed me.
-Please fix our movement skills. It doesn’t help that you’ve nerfed them and they STILL dont work. Rush, anyone? We need rush to be a proper channeling skill so we can actually cancel it and earthshaker to NOT bug out on us EVERY time.

Some of these changes have been called for since forever. Please don’t ignore them.

Thief is complete trash atm due to everyone having more damage and defence or survivability. Daredevil is ok but nothing special and I have zero ideas as to why the devs thought staff would be good on thief. HoT has killed the Thief….RIP

I love the idea of giving the thief a bruiser style melee specc that has sustain and does not have to either spam evades or use stealth for everything (I REALLY like d/p in pvp but holding point would be a nice change of pace).

I am happy that Karl went with staff, I just despise the way Staff and Daredevil is implemented unfortunately.

So yes, please give Daredevil some actual sustain and group utility.

Its bad because its already been done on another profession. Warrior and Guardian. Thief was intended to be a melee burst/in and out guerrilla style combat. Stealth being its main method of facilitating this. Sadly by them spreading fighting styles and abilities across multiple professions and not staying to the defined lines between professions, Thieves now don’t excel at anything but running. Thieves should be the only class with stealth. Mesmers have clones, with AI tweaks they could be even better. Rangers dont need a stealth between the massive ranger pet taunts, knock backs, and cripples. Engi’s having stealth is just silly because they excel at everything but Condi removal which everyone has problems with but ele.
My point is they need to completely revamp the professions so they provide clear play styles with clear counters to them. Sorry way off subject, but thats why I felt staff on thief is simply silly.

I do find it odd they just start giving every profession everything. For awhile there mesmers had just as much stealth as thieves and the fact engys and rangers have it just means they ran out of ideas to help give those classes other skills to give them different play styles.

They just reduced invisibility on mesmers but im a bit surprised they didnt do anything on other classes for it. I dont think they need to completely change classes but they do need to stop giving every class the exact same skills especially when they havent been able to balance out dmg output and blinds.
