What about using some CC skill before he gets downed or a launch after he’s downed? I mean, you can see him tossing it.

^THIS!!!!!!!! My ele buddy and I were able to cc him around once he was downed and we got him out of his little revive circle.
Number one it requires a lot for the engi to time using this.
Number two once he is down poison works against it as well as straight DPS. If you don’t have the DPS I can think of all classes that have a cc such as a pull or a knockback….
Work as a team and if you don’t have the tools to fight against an engi self res then it doesn’t mean its OP it just means they were prepared.
Not all classes have access to blowbacks, which are the only form of forced movement CC to work on downed state players. And some of this “access” is on really really terrible utilities.
What are you going to do, just stop attacking the Engi so he gets to heal again? I’ve always thought being able to res yourself in combat is really stupid, it’s basically a ~40% hp heal with ~ 3s invulnerability time.
That utility got already nerfed, so before posting anything, do some research on how that skill works and in what state is it now, as well as its counters (and there are a lot of them).
Even normal crowd control is fine – as long as you do it before he’s downed.

I have also been able to auto attack an engi to stop him from getting enough healing with just thief dagger onhand… Poison is a huge counter to this. Another huge counter is to watch for it, then pause after the throws it, then resume killing. When the engi throws it they are looking to be downed, so tend to stop what they are doing, and roam around that small area with a giant fake kill me sign.
The autores of engi is the most op of the game, you can win 1v1 to engi but he have the auto res an go up, he recover his live with his curation, and this is equal if you fight with 2 engis.
Please nerf.
Actually, toss Elixir R is not “auto” res. Takes decent timing to use it before going down. Even then you don’t res immediately, it ticks for 20% so there is time to knockout, poison, dps down.
I guess you would want ranger’s self res to be nerfed too then.

If your facing a bunker engy with this trait, just because you cannot kill him, doesn’t mean he can kill you as well. Just because you cant mow him down like everyone else doesn’t mean he needs a nerf. Unlike guardian the defenses are great in conditions rather than raw power.
The point of bunker engy is to neut and cap points with people on it.
The point of bunker is to be able to hold 1vx fight for a good amount of time.
To be fair Elixir R has been nerfed: it is no longer a stunbreaker, but the toss Elixir R ress hasn’t.
I think it should’ve been the other way around personally: longer cd, casttime, slower ress, smaller radius, shorter range, etc…
The nerf has definitely crippled the class just when they had solidified a spot in the meta.

Elixir R has been nerfed several times. It’s healing when downed was nerfed a few months ago, it’s cooldown was nerfed then reduced again and now it’s lost it’s stun break ability.
Nerf it again and no one will use it.

Nerf this really? On my spirit ranger which does insane condi damage yet I can revive my self 3 times lol and while I’m doing that I’m also reviving my team mates. And plus if u poison DPS the body the Rez won’t work half the time. So if anything spirit of nature is way more powerful
Too easy talk about CC when you have CC in all your weapons, and no need choise between deal dmg, inflict condition, CC the enemy, or use some sustain utility :/

Toss R use to have a 80s cd. R has been nerfed plenty of times. CC, poison, dps, delay kill. All options. Its time for people to learn to play.
Just DPS him down.
