Please Remove Legacy of the Foefire(Temp)
This map is just straight forward win mid, control map afterwards and kill lord. Theres low tactics, lots of classes irrelevant and a pure stronger team(composition + fighting skill) blowouts. Its the most booring map. But its easy, fast and straight forward, which some might find fine.
Definitely do not like that map op. Hoping they can at least nerf how many points he gives on death at least to 75 or give him a downed state as has been listed in other threads.
Temple might be a little better but the other maps are horrible: Forest with creeps that enable clearly inferior teams to comeback and maybe even win, Khylo (which is otherwise fine and maybe even good) with trebuchets and camera issues at mid, and Legacy has more space (which is great), no camera issues, and AoE fields/traps are easier to avoid at mid while still contesting the node (also great) so less mobile classes have that weakness more pronounced (unless a Mesmer portal is off cooldown.) Lord needs an obvious buff however and I agree with nerfing the points he gives.

The problem with this is that with the lord currently giving 150 points, he stays relevant to the match. Any lower and there would be no reason to kill the lord.
Ultimately; it’s gonna have to come down to what the devs are going to do about the power creep. If they rebalance the classes appropriately they wont need to change much. On the flip side if they do nothing about it; the devs are gonna have to completely change the way foefire mechanics work.
My least favourite map. Points are too close together and too far from spawn. Once a team wins mid it’s too much of a struggle to regain control.

wrong! It should only be worth 75 points. It still gives teams a chance to come back.
I never understand why so many people want PvE in a PvP map. There is a whole HoT map for PvE if that;s what people want to do.

No one is suggesting for pve mobs in pvp (if I had it my way i personally would want a round based arena style 2v2, 3v3 etc…).

That’s exactly why I don’t like Foefire and fail to see how it is so popular. Flat map, points too close together and too far from spawn point. Well, I unchecked Conquest but before that Foefire always either got the majority of the votes and ended up being where we would fight or it would get the od vote and the hand would gravitate towards it. Only thing I didn’t like about the Lord was when our own was under attack sometimes the entire team thought that meant you had to go on defence leaving the rest of the enemy team free to cap what they wanted.
Though for people who are against the lord being there my way of never needing to enter Legacy of Foefire might not be the answer. In Stronghold the lord isn’t just for 150 points, the whole match is won if you defeat the enemy lord.
Buff him into stronghold style lord with a break bar, dangerous attacks, more HP, and better guards.

If they did that it would be fair to make him worth 500 points to kill. Both teams would probably rush lord to begin with. Well killing a Stronghold Lord wins the game for you, if the Foefire lord was as strong it would be fair to make killing him an automatic win.
Foefire is a great map for start because the Lord can make it a potentially quicker game, which is good win or lose because the sooner the match is over, the sooner you can get your reward and get back in there. You don’t need mid to win, you need to learn how to flex your strategy. Foefire allows harassing far from spawn very easily, which means you have a way to pressure them and split them up if they’re dominating mid. And the points being close together means you can easily adjust your rotation strategy as soon as you start getting out-flanked.
Foefire is popular because it’s fast and adaptable to whatever your team comp is. You just need to know the strategies that work best for your matchup and Foefire will allow superior strategy to be rewarded.

When there is Team Vs Team with use Voip program maybe. In solo ? Imagine u have no Mesmer and no mobile class on ur group and the enemy does . Then wtf u do? And how u communicate with the others for what they have to do? I hate this map! I never liked but this is personal taste. This map should used for fights Team Vs Team not in solo q.
Teams and Solo needs to separate from q . And their maps too. Add more maps to solo and Team q and separate them.
You my friend singing for how good this map is but i want to see u if ur luck change and u got no pre-made group several times here.
Not my favorite map! Remove it! Only 1 map, my personal favourite can exist! QQ

The only map I dislike more than this is khylo…they both feel spread out and clunky…but I guess I just prefer forest and temple…

What to do isn’t very complicated. You communicate with your team by using chat, hopefully before the match to some extent. If they have heavy rotation and harass you have to go hard holding home and mid, and never push far unless the team is stomped into the ground and respawning. If that doesn’t work, you just look for a rotation that will. I’ve had matches where we tank far and mid, which gives a quick pathway into rushing the Lord at 350. If you don’t have a team composition that can hold/tank points well, then you need to be asking for people to switch characters before the match begins if you’re facing a composition that’s going to out-harass or out-rotate you.
But anyway Legacy is great for holding home and mid because you have the cliffsides on the edges of mid where a ranged character can attack mid while still being close enough to watch home and intercept if one of the other team is coming to home from their spawn.
When I’m on my druid I go home at start then range mid from the cliff, where I can also use Search and Rescue to pull downed teammates up to a fairly safe ressing location. If I see someone running from their spawn to home, I just staff 3 back towards home and defend. It’s a pretty simple maneuver.
In general, if [insert scenario that seems unwinnable] switch to [alternative rotation or team composition] and win.
I don’t know how many games I’ve played where some kitten-brained fool says “THAT’S IT GAME OVER” when the other team hasn’t even breached 150 points and then by the end of the game my team switches strategies and almost wins, but still loses because some teammates spent half the match giving up instead of just switching strategy ftw.
