Please bring back 8vs8 format in standard hot join. I don’t understand why it was removed and its horrendous trying to find a game in which to actually play when every single 5v5 roster has 20 people in it. It makes no sense.

They’re letting the community of players who shell out money for arenas vote for the kind of arenas people will play in now. And they have chosen 5v5 Domination!

The community of players who are serious enough to shell out on arenas play in those arenas or in tournaments… hot join is of no consequence to them. This is nonsense.

8v8 is so inaccurate as to how you’re supposed to play the game and made it so that new people have no idea how to do actual 5v5s when they solo queue.

It’s much better off just being an extra thing for hot joins rather than the main mode that it used to be. Also it’s not like finding games is actually that hard.

And what about skyhammer? Your not suppose to win fights by knocking your opponents off the map how about outskilling them, yet they left that in the game. If anything has done more harm to the pvp community in this game its that map and that should be removed, not 8v8’s.

8v8 was terrible. Every fight turned into an AoE zergfest.

Are you having a laugh? Have you tried clicking play now at all? Nothing… All games are full. Selecting a server you find yourself in a crowd of 10 people watching 10 others play the game while you sit there doing kitten all.

Joining a server with space, you find yourself randomly kicked by whoever owns the arena. I say again. This is nonsense.

Play tpvp. It’ll solve your problems. Might even become more fun than hotjoin.

I’ve been pvping on multiple servers the past couple days and finding a hot join server to play in is actually extremely easy. Clicking “Play Now” has never brought me to a game that I wanted to play in and I doubt it ever will. Unless you’re on the lowest pop server in this game I don’t see how you can’t find a game that’s not full. There are plenty of public servers to choose from I promise.

we need 8v8 back,
it takes a ridiculous amount of time finding a 5v5 server that isn’t either full or empty.
and yeah, don’t even start with the “play now” button…

The only reason I want to play hotjoin is to try out some new builds and to avoid the rank 2 players entering solo arena queue. But yea, it’s now hard to find an open server.

I’ve played today hotjoint and wonder what… it was HORRIBLE.
Yep i agree all you want 8vs8 was zergfest, but seriously.. do you think ppl used to that are going to play differently? It felt all the frustration from SoloQ was back with difference it’s unrated pvp but again I got left alone 1 vs 4 meanwhile my team was hiding around, or stacking all together on a single base to get 10 pt, and couldn’t even test a build because i perma had 3-4 ppl on me. F. annoying.
To not mention the fabolous autobalance still. Just no.
8 vs 8 Hotjoint was an option to have something handy to not fuss too much over, now even that is frustraiting and my friends won’t even come along due to it. And the time i’ve spent waiting for matches to end and take a spot, been twice (more) the time I managed to actually play.

Skyhammer isn’t in TeamQ, only hotjoin and SoloQ. The map simply shouldn’t exist, and it shouldnt be compared to how 5v5 and 8v8 plays out.

5v5 is better for the community overall. But they should have a few more 8v8 for the people who enjoy the cluster!$@#

Guys, this is all my fault.

I asked for 8 player PvE/WvW parties on the general discussion forum, and they retaliated by trashing PvP.

I take complete responsibility.

8v8, more combo.

5v5, more important in one person.

Anyway, combo is interesting.

Needs more 5v5 servers to accommodate players… 8v8 is just ugly
