This is literally (and I do mean literally) the worse experience I’ve ever had with matching making since swtor. (which didn’t even have matchmaking)

That thing is they even reset MMR completely…

It’s really really bad… all the work from amber to legendary to now be stuck with people hunting ascended gear.

Hitting legendary in season 1-4 didn’t mean you were a good player whatsoever, just that you managed enough win streaks against players at your own MMR/pip range to grind it out.

People really need to stop thinking that the old grind system made for any indication of skill. I’ve seen a few people in my friends list that hit legend in s3/4 that are sub-900 in this system.
