Im really hoping you dont reduce burn dmg anet. Burn guardrians for once is usable in PvP. Also the only problem people are having is the ring of fire D/D eles have and them running back and forth threw it.

A -1 to d/d fire skills in ring of fire and drakes breath to me is where we should start.

Another thing is making mesmer unable to use there shatter skills when stone or knocked down would be awesome. Nothing like catching a mesmer after he dodges twice, uses sword skill, blast blindness and uses distortion shatter. When i finally catch the mesmer with a stun/knock down or knock back they use distortion shatter and then escape. It bit unreal for anyone trying to be a melee class.

Lastly buff the ranger just a bit. Pet or in base attacks.

Sounds so much fun. Maybe they could buff burn damage and remove clones/phantasms from mesmers or make it so that they are unable to shatter when targeted by a guardian.

why would it be a bad idea for memsers to not use shatters F1-F4 skills when stunned or knocked down? Every other class has to use a stun breaker but not mesmers. Maybe this is something unique for mesmers.

Reducing the sustain of certain classes would make mesmers even more op atm. Right now ele/thieves/mesmers are the elite of tournaments and simply reducing ele dmg would force teams to run something else.

Burn is only op on ele, make em have to run a more condi focused amulet to do that much amount.

I do not know how they ship patches up but.

It should be 1stack per pulse based on field Duration. but hey professionals are made they are not born.

Another thing is making mesmer unable to use there shatter skills when stone or knocked down would be awesome.

come guys.. right now bleeding is useless.. the only condition you wanna really stack is burn.. bleeding has no sense to build around ( more or less deals 40% less damage), poison is more powerfull than bleeding and so on..
i don t like how condi stack right now because there are no more difference.. the only thing that change is the damage formula, and it ’s awfull..
i hope something will change.. stack intensity sucks, 2k dmg per second of burn suck more because has more dps than a “fighter” build, and to be a good damage dealer you need only to increase one stat instead of 3..

ele are: smashing keyboard for the win.. mobility, survability, sustained dmg and healing, 10 stacks of burn, utility.. maybe there is something wrong

for the mesmer, well, i hope will come some nerfs because has more burst potential than a thief with 3 times his survability..

Why would it be a bad idea? Because other classes can use their special F1-F4 abilities while disabled (like thief steal, guardian virtues). So no, it is not unique. It would be unique the other way around. You as a guardian player surely wouldn’t be happy about such mechanics killing off your virtues.

Also, saying that thief and mesmer are the “elite” of tournaments together with ele is a bit misleading. Simply the insane amount of eles need a class with some more punch/mobility. It is not about the ooh-la-la burst of either thief or mesmer. It is all about mobility.

Edit: They actually win with 5 eles even. Whatever.

All insta cast can be cast when ccd and it’s just 1 second immune wit no clones also mesmers are really classy without active defences also soft cc like immobiliser cripple and freeze counters mesmer really hard alot harder than stuns and knockdown try it

Reduce burn damage by slight amount, reduce the amount of skills applying it with a focus on re-applications from AoE effect skills.
Then switch the attention to the sustain of Elementalists while also taking a good long look at the vamp rune.
Problem solved. Or not. But its a good base to stand on for “fixing” SPvP.

As someone who plays Elementalist, my fix would be to swap the functionality of the offhand Dagger and Focus skills making Ring of Fire pulse 1 stack of burning for 3 seconds each second and Flamewall inflict 3 stacks of burning for 5 seconds when you cross it.

Bleeding needs to be closer to burning or applied in larger stacks. (I know it’s already easier to get bleeding stacks high faster than burn but it’s still not as good.)

Condition burst can be responded to fairly easily with a well placed cleanse or more. Normal power burst is a lot harder to respond to and typically requires you to know it’s coming already.

Damaging conditions need to be dangerous if focused on as part of your build. They have their strengths and weaknesses as a playstyle but for the most part they are no more over powered than normal burst.

We don’t need more slow conditions. I don’t know if there are any other unique things they could add to bleeding except maybe make it like torment and get rid of torment. I mean, that makes sense anyway… If you’re bleeding and you make more movements you bleed more or faster. Maybe reduce the amount of time in between bleed ticks? It’s basically just a kittenty burn right now that CAN stack high but often doesn’t in pvp.

I’d have to say that 90% of the time I’m dying because of non-condi damage. I don’t doubt that you’re being killed by burning. It’s a great way to kill people with no cleansing abilities on their bar. With as much as people are complaining about burning but attributing it to the prime offender to be elementalists, I’d say that ele will get nerfed before burning does.

Mesmers don’t get stability for a reason.

Mesmers are also a mid range duelist (devs statement). Coming in close is only for bursts before duking out again and kiting. You’re wanting to lock and shut the mesmer down in close range, Why? because that’s where a Mesmer dies. Sorry, Mesmers tools are there to allow him to survive and get away again. Clones and shattering are also integral to the Mesmers offense and defense.

How about some pro tips?

  • Kill the clones/phants, undermining the Mesmers damage and shatter effectivness. Melee cleave is great at this.
  • Equip a ranged weapon and pressure the Mesmer if he wants to sit out of reach. I know, amazing concept, it works!

i v just said the is annoying died because of burn everytime
i main thief so we are not famous because of condi clear, but in general, burn deals too much damage per tick
what i tried to say is that if you can stack burn you can have a easy win. U don t need to stack conditions like before, when you can only stack bleeding, because poison and burn didn t stack intensity.. i mean.. easy burn, easy life

Yeh, I understand slowing moevemnt with bleed can be really annoying, but actually this condi needs to do a little more, not just dmg, cause burn is way better

it was a suggestion i felt i needed to do. I currently run signets so either way is fine for me since i apply confusion and blindness on use of signet. Im just point some things out ive notice really frustrates people who are soling matching vs mesmers. Currently alot of blinds,condi dmg, with alot of invulnerabilites. If mesmers are super against it im fine with it but i feel we shouldnt nerf condi dmg for that exact reason.

You talk about throwing tips out there and you got all these people calling for nerfs on condi like burns and getting rid of cele ammy because d/d eles are op. Your destroying a huge aspect of the game. It would be impossible as a burst condi guardian/warrior/thief to catch a mesmer if they were to nerf condi and allow for mesmers to spam f-4 along with all the blinds/invisbility/invulnerability.

Side note on the bleeds and psn condi dmg, i feel that there in a good place since many of these classes can apply so much of it. For instance rangers have traps that can pulse with a spider pet and get up to 15 stacks of psn easy with 7-12 stacks of bleeding. Where as many other classes have to do 1 condi at a time unless traited a special way.

Yes other conditions need to be better. This is especially true for classes that don’t use burning. I think the next burstiest condi we have is confusion? Bleed isn’t too bad if you can get it to 25+ stacks so it starts to do close to 12 stacks of burning.
