Please, hotfix Tempests and Chrono bunkers.

Honestly i play scrapper pretty much ever match i agree the tempest is a problem when they have high toughness chrono’s however you just gotta cc chain an they die, and actually high toughness decap rangers are more of a problem then chrono’s
Ele play tempest bunker because nothing else is viable for the class in this high-damage/condi meta.
If they nerf tempest we will just use rune of earth and still bunk on point because there is nothing else left to do for the class in pvp.

For Ele it’s even worse. Compare a glass Chronomancer/Scarpper and a glass staff Tempest. Which one do you want for your team?
- Chronomancer has multiple ways to survive a combat, at least until help come, or you can stealth port away.
- Scrapper on Marauder has as much sustain as a full bunker Tempest
- Marauder Rev has a lot of blocks/evades/boons and a great heal
- Even a glass DH and Thief has more survivability than a glass Tempest.
- On Tempest, as soon as people realize you’re glass, you will be totally shut down.
Good luck running away from a Rev with port every 5s, perma stab and chill, and autoattack you for 4k. In low MMR you can sneak in a few Meteor, but when you face decent players I’d love to see how it can survive. Even then, a Marauder Rev/Scrapper is still a better +1 than glass Tempest because they have better DPS.
In short, glass Tempest has worse damage, and worse survivability. That’s why most of the Ele run bunker. There is nothing else.

I agree with Pepsi on how laughable chrono is. I don’t agree on nerfing alacrity because the way I deal with the amount of cc is dealt to me if I run chrono bunker, I need the alacrity to get out of play if need be, or use it to survive as long as I can before my teammates can do anything. A chrono bunker lacks what an ele has and it’s the amount of cleanse and stability. A chrono does less damage than an ele bunker. There are some fun builds for chrono, but for PvP I find bunker is the only thing viable that contributes to a team. Condi is a joke, most you will do is troll for a bit since your damage does next to nothing unless you could stack burning like an ele can or burn guar (just example). Shatter isn’t good enough against massive heals. I feel ele can do better burst damage than shatter mes. They just do more damage if I’m comparing a more power oriented build. It’s not right that both classes are bored and don’t feel they can play anything else most of the time.
Honestly chrono can be beaten by other classes 1v1 (if they know what they are doing and have acces to a lot of cc)
But ele’s on the other hand are very hard to even get below90% so your condi teammate can burst them with condi
Then there is the decap engi who use rifle flametrower and knockback gyro who’s knockback’s / immobs can keep you down
And ofc the druid decap tank
I find the ele druid and that engi build boring to play against as it is pretty much impossible to kill them 1v1 (depending on your team comp even more except for the engi build i mentioned
Druid actually dies against 2 decent dpsers very quickly, but yes, their dazes, bristleback damage and 1v1 capabilities are a little over the top.
Scrappers are stupid OP as well (Revs, Reapers too). But they don’t bunk a point with absurd sustain/mitigation, or bring stupid amounts of support to a teamfight, they actually die relatively quick if properly focused and the teamfight support is not as good/efficient.
DHs are a 1 trick pony. We all know how to counter them by now. Still, you get insta downed by the random faceroller keyboardturner and backpeddaler that places full traps on your feet from time to time (which is rage inducing). The spec is definetly overrewarding by the amount of skill it takes, it needs more depth. They are just annoying and basically freekills 1v1 though.

And allow the Reaper overlords to steamroll all classes? No thanks. Necros are not top tier, but if you get rid of the hard counters there is no stopping them from dominating PvP.

Ele’s went bunker when everything started spamming powerful CC and conditions with stupidly low cooldowns. Honestly, ele’s will be in the same spot as warriors if they didn’t have diamond skin.
Tempests needs nerfs, but so does everything.

I am just worried Anet will do another of their “fantastic” nerfs again and make Tempest completely freaking useless. After that non-ele mains will start crying about something else, while ele mains will start complaining about Tempest being useless (and justified, just like warriors). I also have a feeling (dates from the op D/D era) that anyone who will bring up the fact that Tempest is useless will just be called a little whiny kid from non-ele mains and that Tempest was op in the past. Like really, I’ve seen so many posts about scepter weapon for ele being useless and people immediately bring up D/D ele and say that it was op, so scepter does not need buffs. Please Anet, don’t make it suck.
In WvW Tempest is actually balanced, its just that no doubt PvP nerfs will make it worse. Balance should be split, then you can nerf and buff all you want.
That’s how I feel with Mesmer. I really hope Anet fixes all classes that need it and finds a way to bring at least some balance. I don’t disregard necros either they are a good class.
