Please introduce Perplexity Runes to SPVP
I was just getting prepared to enter a field of flame. =}
I don’t think they should be nerfed , because they’re fine for wvw I reckon.
However! I also dont think they should be introduced into spvp either. But thats because of a l2p issue, rather than the runes being OP

Is utterly broken, you have absolutely no idea how hard a properly built mesmer/engi could dominate 2/3v1s with these.

the runes alone are not even the one that make wvw imbalanced. warriors are completely out of control and so are necros. but those runes are broken. 6/6 should give 15% confusion dmg instead of 5 stacks for 10-15 sec per interrupt

if you think warriors are out of control (just 1 build actually – skull crack/100b with cavalier gear) you havent fought a confusion engi yet. necros out of control? wut? did i miss something?

This rune is wreaking WvW, its one of the most OP runes ever.

well u havent met warriortrains mass cc and mass necromarks spam then.no way of even getting into a keep like that. chain fears, conditionbombs and the mass hammer trains atm are completely out of control. roaming is different but in big zerg fights all u see is warriors,warriors and even more warriors, then guardians and necros. ive met those engis and yes they are pretty much op with this rune and the rune has to be fixed.

oh yes you are right about warriors dominating the melee trains of course. they will get even stronger with the buffs to shout healing, but they are countered with stability which most random zergs dont run sadly, maybe there should be additional measures for random zergs against those.
but i was only considering small scale / 1v1 balance where those runes are absolutely crazy, you simply can only fold over and die except if you stack all condi cleanse available and try to leg it.

Even WvW needs some degree of balance. This rune didn’t help at all. If you add food to this your confusion uptime is pretty much game-breaking.

well as a mesmer i have a 2 sec stability on a useless mantra atm…nothing else. and yes stability is important.thats what guardians are for and all coordinated guilds i know run that, but that is a boon and necros can turn boons into conditions….oi
but these runes are terrible on a 1v1. engis and warriors can spam interrupts and these confusion stacks are higher and last longer than what a mesmer that actualy specs into confusion ever had. this is a slap in the face for a mesmer and gambreaking, but anet has not even responded yet. they need a fix soon. switch the 6/6 to 15 percent confusion duration and 15 confusion dmg and it would sorta make more sense or give it a 15-20 sec cooldown

I don’t think they should be introduced to Spvp. This way it falls even further behind the rest of the game. It makes an ideal situation of where the build you play in WvW/PvE/Dungeons just can’t be used in the mists. I am also happy you can’t bring over your prestige skins either. You work for them and in spvp you get to earn them all over again, that is of course, even if they’re represented in your locker. Perplexity would make halting strike mesmers very effective and allow another build for them. I also enjoyed when they talked about up coming new traits and skills, they only mentioned them in PvE and WvW,…funnily spvp was not mentioned of in the list of place these new traits will be usable. It seems apparent they are quietly trying to phase spvp out hence why nothing new gets introduced and it gets barred from using in game gear that can be used any where else.
