not having 5v5 games in public might be a matter of serverload but zerging in spvp really isn’t that interesting in the long run. especially with the current downed state system that adds additional reason to outzerg the opponent rather than outplay him

8vs8 is just a testing ground for your wvw pvp spec you can see how well it works on a mini zerg lvl oh and for farming glory.
