As it serves the only purpose to annoy some people like me. What is the reason for a minute of idling anyway? HotS have ten seconds for example to choose a talent and figure who goes where. Here?

As useless most of times the wait looks, it’s supposed to be expended in team coordination and set the strategies of the match, so it may be even worse to remove it, also sometimes some people have longer loading screens due bad net conection/low spec pc. Most of times it’s used to check teams roosters and respec/swap character than the former reasons.

No one does it in all few scores of low ranked games i played. Strategies? “Run to the nearest point mash buttons”.
Well then, at least the wait time should end when everybody clicks i am ready button.

As soon as everyone go “I’m ready”, the match begins.

Does that happen in every game? No.
Does it happen in every 5th game? No.
Does it happen in every 10th game? kitten no.

In this case its the players that are being kittened and not using the system as it was intended. Hence, you get a kittenload of dead time.

That time, as Julian.2971 said, it’s a time where you should talk with your team and prepare a general strategy for the game, know the builds of your team, et cetera. You can too check the enemy team composition and swap characters/builds accordingly.

That no one uses this advantage is player’s fault. If you don’t want it, press Ready Up button. If everybody wants to get past it, everyone should push the Ready Up button. but people decide to AFK during that precious time. So, player’s fault again.

I would say people forget about it, it’s really not very visible. If it was a giant button in the middle of your screen, I’m pretty sure it would happen every few games.

It gives players with slower computers a chance to load in and get ready, therefore, no, it should not be removed, at all, ever. The only thing that sounds reasonable is what Laraley said and make the button more intrusive.

I am fine with the current wait time.
You sometimes need to adjust your build or even change profession depending on maps and compositions. You can use the time to discuss overall strategy.
If there is nothing to do, I will usually just go into the battlefield and practice jumping those kiting spots.

The ready button should pop up right on the center of your screen just like the game mode instructions is showing up now.

No the time is just enough for me to swap chars and or builds. It’s good for any solo player who is willing to adapt to their team.

People just need to hit the ready button.

I have an idea, makes a giant “I am ready!” button in the middle to block the screen but once you clicked it it will go hide where it is now.

I’m happy with the current time. Sometimes my computer is stupid and takes a long time to load in the map, sometimes I need to change a few things in my build for a particular map (cough skyhammer cough), sometimes I like to say hi to my team and see where they’re all going.
