Just because a tanky support is doing it’s job is not cause for nerf now.
Ultimately that is the only complaint in this thread.
Shoutbow is just as broken as cele engi and cele ele...
That is to say, not broken. None of them are overpowered.
BTW if you really wanna nerf shoutbow you better be prepared for Warrior to become trash tier again. Argue all you want but Hambow isn’t that strong anymore and there is no viable zerker warrior build, or any other warrior build period.

For not being overpowered there certainly are not many alternatives to running 2 Cele pointholders. All other Bunkers are a far cry from Ele and War to a slightly lesser extent. What else can you use to hold points, 1vX and do as many other useful thing? Bunker Guard? Turret Engi? Spirit Ranger? Lol kk. Ele/War are currently miles ahead of alternative point holders in overall value & flexibility especially.

Shoutbow isn’t exactly a real bunker either because the best way to play it is.. not as a Bunker, but as a pseudo-carry.
If it was so good at bunkering then why is shoutbow so easy to decap and has a hard time dodging focus fire compared to Ele and Engi?
Right now the only viable point holder is really Ele.

Bunk guard are better at holding points/teamfighting, but they are slow, that why they are usually playing with a mesmer/thief combo.
Same with staff ele, but staff ele got the mobility and aoe pressure and better cc.
And we can also talk about engi who can basically do everything with one build and good rotations

- Is the problem banner? – Let’s say the build didn’t have War Banner. Would you still think this build is too strong?
- Is the problem killing it? – I tend to find that these die fairly quickly in team fights, but super slow in small engagements.
- What do you usually fight it with? – What are your tactics for fighting it, if at all
1.) Banner is interruptible and a long cool down anyways
2.) No. It’s easy to kill when you learn how to rotate. In team fights it’s much stronger for sure. But still very kill-able once you learn how to count dodges and cool downs.
3.) I personally fight it with chain CC DPS Warrior. When there is proper focus fire and people aren’t kitten ing around, it’s easy to kill it. Sometimes I can even 1v1 it even though DPS Warrior isn’t made for 1v1s. I suppose D/P thief timing the daze so combustive shot can’t be casted to cleanse poison isn’t bad either.TL;DR people complain about shoutbow because they are either new or aren’t good players.
P.S Some people complain about shoutbow being the only viable build for Warrior, but then again look at the TL;DR.
Your tl;dr is people who say shoutbow is lame/op aren’t good. Who are you to say that? Regardless such absolute statements are ridiculous. You could take 50 very very strong players and they will all have different opinions on balance except for the fact that celestial ele/engi/warrior are too strong and probably thief is too strong. Everything else people will all differ on.

You say its not op because “focus it with thief mesmer”. Then nothing is OP. You could double all damage and healing on d/d ele and it wouldnt be OP.
EVERYTHING insta dies vs thief/mesmer. Right from bunker guardian down. Literally everything.
Maybe that is a problem in itself with the high burst of thief amd fire/air sigils though.

Shout heal war isn’t overpowered. It’s good if you want to support as a warrior, but ele, engi and guardian are all better in that role. The only reasons for it are a) you want to support as a warrior, b) you want to have support potential but find ele/engi too difficult, c) your team needs much less support than a guardian can give and a bit more damage than a guardian can give. It’s basically the celestial guardian. It’s easier to kill, offers no blocks but retains condi cleanse and low easy-mode supportive healing, hits a bit harder but those skills are easy to dodge, has a bit more mobility with a leap, can stack a bit more might, can tank more hits but mitigate less damage, and it has a highly interruptible rally banner. Eles and engis still deal more damage, offer stronger support, have more mobility, have more utility, and are more likely to win a 1v1.

nah, dd ele is definitely harder to play..

It has an aoe unblockable weakness on 16s cd and an aoe unblockable fear on 48s cd. And a kittenload of hp. No one has all the stuff you mentioned.

I think it should be nerfed by minus 119.142857143 point each simply becuz the total number of attribute for cele is too high. 438 * 7 = 3066 while other amulet has around 2232.
i believe cele is what making this game sucks and destroy the role of every other builds. as of now we see only celementalist, cele engi in tourney askitten*.
Cele need to be nerfed.

Sword-warhorn shout war is actually designed for using it with settler amulet as supportive condi bunker that is firstly co-designed by me and another player called “The Mercy Goddess” and used in first ToL. Afterward, some1 just copied it and put celestial instead when cele got buffed hugely last year and name it like ShoutBow then spreaded it. but is totally wrong, it ruins the purpose of use of sword-warhorn build. it should come with settler, not cele.
Shout sword-warhorn war should be bunker build of warrior. Some1 who just copied and put cele on it actually distorted the purpose of use of this build, and you guys talking here that it is op now becuz it can now kill people since it can do hybrid dmg. Yes it is kinda op becuz of celestial amulet. so they need to nerf celestial to make its purpose correct. it should be warrior’s bunker build just like guardian bunker.
Well they need to nerf cele anyway, it ruined both guardian bunker and warrior bunker. now dd ele tanky as kitten has ruined both war and guard bunker and replaced it.

Amulets that have more than 3 stats have greater sum of all stats. That’s by design. Berserker amulet has 2364 stats while a typical 3 stats amulet 2232. Celestial is obviously out of proportions with 3066, but that doesn’t mean it should have just 2232. It should be shaved first to something like 2800 (7×400 instead of 7×438) and then react on how it behaves.
Shoutbow = easiest cele to kill

Nah, just delete cele from game so we can have many roles for many kind of team comps. dd cele now is way too perfect : has mobility, has dmg, has supportive skills, is tanky

Nobody wants more bunker guards, turret engis, or spirit rangers except the players who play them. I’m sure most people will agree a DPS+Ele/Warr meta is better for the game.

I just love going against shout and hambows with my thief. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
