Please teach me to PvP good
Remember to put points above all else in PvP. Don’t feel obligated to help your teammate who’s outnumbered if you think they’re acting a good distraction. Also don’t try to play to survive if surviving means giving up points. If you’re attracting attention, use yourself as a distraction.
Well, this is just general advice.
being in top 500 is long and hard, keep that in mind.

And not just for your warrior, mastering (or at least being confident with) every class (to me) is mandatory, that way you can anticipate people’s move and will know how to deal with other players.
Learn rotations and strategy
and play a lot, and I mean it, a lot!
There’s guides in the forum sticky post and on the GW2 subreddit, once you’ve taken a look at those resources I encourage you to ask here any questions you still have. Having and knowing how to use a good build matters, knowing how to rotate on the map matters more.

I want to be in the top 500 so I can win a mini llama. I’m a warrior and have looked up the builds for ShoutBow and HamBow. Is that the best way for me to win? I would love if someone could teach me the secrets to being a good warrior PvP player. I played a lot of Diablo 2 in the past as a Barbarian, so I have experience in PvP, but I would like to be better in Guild Wars 2!
1) Learn the game mode first. A lot of winning in conquest mode has to do with being at the right places at the right time. I am still getting my fighting skills up to par, but sometimes you don’t need to win fights to win the match.
2) Warrior isn’t too difficult. Learn to blast your stuff. Proc geomancy sigils on your opponents. Hambow is similar. No one can really teach you mechanics beyond telling you blasting your firefields and leaping through them. Maybe the Shoutbow build has all the tips on metabattle.com. Not sure.
3) Find some friends and duel when you have time.
