So at the start of the match we had a few players on our team with between 10-20 points yet the team score was 0. How is this possible?

You get personal points for some stuff that doesn’t give team score, and vice versa.

E.g. you get some personal points for decapping.

That’s part of why personal points don’t add up to team score.
