Poll: Do you want skill unlocks in PvP?
No, but you have to understand the logic here. PvP compared to other games is a fail in GW2. They are trying to get more PvE or WvW types to play. That’s why you’ve seen them reverse course on a lot of PvP type decisions.
Maybe if we be more vocal about it they’ll reverse the decision like the removal of ranks
Of course not. The only remaining attractive part of GW2 PvP is the ability to jump in whenever I want and know I’m on even footing with every other player when it comes to spec/gear choices.
pre-ordered HOT at this point,
save yourself the money and don’t bother.

That’s what I was thinking :/ It’s a ridiculous thing to add.
Absolutely not, the decision to completely undermine the premise of PvP is one of the most disappointing changes that I have ever seen Anet propose. I’m not usually so negative about change, I’m not conservative in any way, but it’s completely unnecessary and forces PvP players to play PvE or play for a long period of time to unlock skills that put them back on an even playing field with everyone who already has.
It’s the wrong direction to take PvP, and I sincerely hope that they don’t go through with it.
OP: You should only have had a yes and no answer, the poll currently looks like it’s even but the reality is it’s 20-7 in the favour of no.
all is vain
No. And especially not for 25 flipping points. It’s 17 hours worth of glory for a stupid heal skill.
Seeing sPvP, the one, single mode in this game that has so far actually managed to be a grind-free, equal powerbase mode implement something gameplay related that requires brainless dumping of hours to unlock fills me with great cynicism for the game’s future.
Absolutely not, I even made a post about it a few days ago. It’s going to create power gaps between players who have the glory/gold to get any new skills which quickly become meta and also forces sPvP players to spend the small amount of gold we’re now earning on something that did not need to be added.
It’s a bad choice, and will only do more to hurt the community by moving everyone off equal footing as time progresses.

I agree 100%
