With the 10/15 patch bringing a nerf to Larcenous Strike on S/D, I’m curious what will predominate tournament thieves. As it stands now, it seems like most top end thieves are running the initiative spam S/D build with a few still using D/P. Because of this, I would expect one or a combination of the below situations to occur:

a) Thieves skill keep using S/D ini spam builds since the evasion is still just as strong and since it doesn’t rely heavily on stealth, which is potentially countered by rangers using Sic ’Em.

b) Thieves going back to the D/P builds predominantly. Sic ’em may counter stealth, but it may not apply a very long duration of revealed and still may not find it onto the utility skill bar of spirit rangers anyways.

c) S/P may see a return. The build is weak against anything with retal, but it’s probably one of the stronger weapon sets against spirit rangers and doesn’t rely on stealth.

d) Thieves simply stop making it onto tourney teams.

If you’re doing well with S/P already, that’s awesome, but it doesn’t seem to be the trend in teams that go into top end tournies:
