How did anet shift balance this time. Make a list and put each class in it.

If we see the balance for me 8 professions have a competitive build (class A).
Tempest has no A- build because he does all things (power/condi/ assist/ heal) but not really well, with the S4 changes, tempest the healing/assist is reduced. But in all previous season team without tempest lost… They have to give to tempest a dps (power/condi) build and reduce the team assist.

Exept for Dh and war, professions have just one A/build so the diversity is not satisfy!
More power build are viable than condi ones but condi build stack hardly together!
Mention to thief that need a high skill to be in A/ category.

War/guard have to build competitve because all of them could use the same defensive trait and utilitaries.

Synthesis: the balance is better and better, sure it’s not perfect, with diversity but it’s in a good direction.
I like the evolution of professions:
-thief: a lot of evade, stealth,well played they are just disturbing (i saw one particulary good!)
- war: cc, blocks,resistance, damage, a really great and solid pillar!
-guard: blocks, blocks, blocks, cc, damage, they are some of them so tanky;)
-scrapper: the best bruiser, damage, tank, dispel, solid mate!
-reaper: condi output is amazing and nice tankiness with ds
-chrono: blocks, immune, stealh, a nice pannel of escape
-druid: the best capacity if healing with a great cc/mobility!
-heral: high mobility, immune, evade , hard to learn but high reward
And finally tempest: no real defenSe style: a little mobility, a little immune. In the past this versality was yhe strengh of the tempest, he did everything, not perfectly but well. Actually he does nothing in pvp. But with a nice team he could support well with aura.

Finally, nice work, pleaSe continue to improve class playstyle, improve build diversity (trait,skills, weapons non used) and find a tempest role and way to deal with damage (passive damage reduction with earth/ protection improvment is NOT a playstyle, give them an active playstyle).

Jury’s still out on power mesmer.

A.
*Warrior (demo warrior is scary to fight as a Guardian)
*Druid (they can still carry teams)
*Engi (a good one’s a useful one)
*Thief (a Thief that knows where to be is a major threat)
*Rev (a good Revenant is still scary to fight)
*Mes (a great Mesmer will shine; they have all the right utilities to succeed)

B.
*Guardian (getting better)
*Necro (their ability to keep condis on enemies is quite scary)

C.
*Ele (scepter/focus needs to get buffed)

The only thing that carry Scrapper on tier A, is the support it bring with a none support amulet.

Otherwise, with the DPS nerf it’s harder to finish your 1v1 with power scrapper paly than any conditions/power build.

i.e. if you are killed by a Scrapper, you probably didn’t make attention to counter the cc chain/burst he do and even if you didn’t counter it… it will not kill you right-off the bat, so you can REGEN, Heal up again.

Not because you can’t kill him, means he is top tier. Top tier, need to be able to kill top tier build.

For this reason, Scrapper is tier B.

Super or Special, whatever you feel like. It’ s usually used to rank things higher than A. And War has been S all season 3 and will be S all season 4 if Anet keeps on trolling pvp.

Wrong and wrong. S1 and S2 warrrior was completely useless, so they buffed it to death in S3, and pushed it into god tier, and refused to nerf it for S4. Also, warrior’s access to resistance, adrenal health, and stability means they don’t need support- they hard counter thieves and mesmers. the only thing they couldn’t kill reliably in S3 was elementalist / scrapper, and now that barrier is gone

With condi meta and deleted healbot ele i would place power rev in D.

Top tier:
-Druid (my class, I feel ridiculously strong right now with great ability to survive 2v1s)
-Warrior (great condi burst, good survivability)
-Mesmer (really strong in 1v1 fights and got buffed a bit with the patch)

Mid tier:
-Rev (doesn’t feel very much of a threat this season but a good one can be very effective)
-Necro (still a decent class but easily focused down)
-Engi (Still okay but sustain is a lot less than before)
-Thief (Good class in the right hands but extremely hard to play well)

Bottom tier:
-Guard (still a really bad class, very little sustain and just not enough damage to make up for it)
-Ele (Also very bad, zero damage and significantly less support than before)
