Apologies for missing the post yesterday guys, so we will do a combo post today to wrap it up!

If you have a question to ask any ArenaNet developer that will be at Gamescom (I dont know who will be there unfortunately) or any of the Chinese all-stars, go ahead and post it! If your question is liked enough or if we get around to ask it, it will be asked in a live interview!

Please keep in mind that these interviews and as such the questions being answered are pending on if I am able to interview the person in question.

This. Why is it still in soloQ? If it’s so skillful, it should be in teamQ.

My question:

Why do balance updates takes so long? There are some obvious changes you can push through in a week/month that will help sPvP without a doubt, but are pushed back into a bi-yearly balance patch with everything else.

ye blu you rly should try to ask the devs bout skyhammer in soloQ and how they think bout that everyone hate it and why they total ignore the player feedback

i think this are the questions most gw2 (pvp) players wanna know and never get an answer – you maby has a chance to make us happy^^

second question

game tooo fast – to watch it and to play it (only some teens with super reactions can play it – others get most time frustrated) – people need invuls, stuns and stuff like this to spam and kill fast or get killed but no rly strategic counterplays in this game cause it is just to fast for humans^^

They are aware bout this proplem?
We will maby see castbars someday?
Whats about a nice combatlog(they said something short time after release they will rework combatlog but never heared anything again)?
They think it is important for the player to can analyze how they did infight and how they died After they died and they work on this?

I don’t understand why this thread gets so few attention as we never have the chance to ask the devs.

I’ve got some legit questions:

- How many teams are currently working on PvP? What is each team exactly doing?
- What PvP content can we expect before 2015 hits
- What’s the current list of priorities to implement?
- A long time ago we were talked about a league/season system, what happened?
- The PvP still feels really unrewarding. Why isn’t skill rewarded at all? What happened to the living story reward tracks?

Good questions right here. Especially important the league/season system question, I think this is what gw2 need the most atm to make people want to be competitive so there will be more teams and more people wanting to compete.

It makes the other maps feel less bad and stale. Overall they get fewer complaints cause they can just put a filter on for anything that says “skyhammer”

@Devs: In terms of total stat points provided, the breakdown is as follows:

Celestial amulet gives:3038
Berserker amulet gives:2340
Any other amulet:2208

Celestial stats in PvP give 27% more stats than any other type of amulet, and have become incredibly popular in Warrior + Ele + Engi + Ranger builds. Combined with might-stacking runes, this amulet allows hybrid specs to have significant amounts of Condi + Direct damage with large amounts of sustain. Does the balance team feel Celestial amulets are becoming a problem and do they have any plans to balance the Celestial amulet so that it does not provide more total stats than any other amulet?

To the players:
What was patch that mesmer suddenly became less and represented among the professions. After multiple nerfs, and pathing bug issues they were still seeing some light of day. Now their representation is less than 4%. What was the moment they ceased to be regularly played and can this be reversed with changes similar to what rangers/engineers have received.( Some channeled skills increased in speed/dmg- AI making use of homing capacity.) Or is the notion of AI controlled damage removing too much from the player and that is basically why they almost faded to black currently?

Is giving professions access to weapons they previously didn’t have access too a feature that Is being considered? I know/see a lot of players requesting this, myself included.

Question (for Devs):

Since launch, the most jarring and significant balance issue that has persisted is the excessive strength of AI and passives—“No skill (or low skill, at best), high reward” mechanics. Power, a former employee, had mentioned in a Twitch chat, after leaving ANet, that he tried to relay the problem of AI and passives to the balance team.

Can you discuss if you think the damage output of AI and passives should be significant as they are or should be dramatically nerfed for PVP?

Ok, let’s nerf 100 blades damage

Players:
Turret Engi is a no skill spec that does too well

S/D thief has too many evades

Cool, let’s make it harder to do damage

We are in too much of a bunker meta

A preview of future bad ideas (take note ANET. You can use these!)

Will we ever see a colossal increase in new useful utility/heal/elite skills, and a more in depth trait system?
Also I heard talk about eventually giving the classes access to new weapons, is this confirmed or an infinite eventual?
