I’m starting this thread to help some of the newer folks who might be interested in joining the PvP community, and help with their key binds and stuff.

Please put pros and cons of your key bind . Keep in mind some of us have nicer mice than others so please include those as well when posting your binds.

Mine are

Weapon skills:
1 : M4 (1 also)
2 : Shift
3 : CapsLock
4 : A
5 : Q

Heal : 6
Elite : ~ (right next to 1)

Utility :
2-4

Movement:

ESDF (changed S and F to strafes so I can dodge to the side)
Double -tap for dodge
Spacebar for jump
Auto-run : ctrl+m4
About-face : ctrl+m5

Professional skills (1-4)

F1 skill : X
F2 skill : W
F3 skill : C (m5 also)
F4 skill : R

Usage skills

Do/stomp/pick-up : G
Weapon swap : V

Miscellaneous

F1-F8 : guild/inventory/hero panel/etc.
Targeting:: ctrl+T
Take target : T
Look behind : Z
Stow weapon : enter key (right one)

Pros:
Pinky finger does all the weapon skills, elite and heal skill separate from utilities so you can’t accidentally tap them. 1 and 5 are open too so you can change utilities key bind. Lots of flexibility with weapon skills and utilities, (can be pressed both easily at the same time). All movement skills can be used to dodge.

Cons:
You have to have at least a 2 button mouse, esdf movement takes some time to get used to, professional skills are tricky to go around with all the movement skills right next to it. Heal and elite skill can be a bit far to reach sometimes. Shift + m1 to draw on map can be hard with shift key binded. No dodge hot key.

General usage:
ESDF are where your fingers will stay mostly, you can use pinky for weapons skills ring and pointing finger uses professional skills. Pointing finger stomps people, weapon swaps also. Spacebar for jumps.

Overall time it took me to master:
2 – 3 weeks

Seeing other people’s keybinds makes my brain hurt…

I’m sure mine would make people go wtf as well, I won’t even try spelling it out.

Mine is niched to my thief mostly on my mouse for the burst and useful things like look behind, etc. I’ve made it so easy to burst on my mouse that I just roll my thumb to execute it.

Mouse Cyborg MMO7, all skills on it.

I use the G buttons on my Logitech G600. Other than that, macro for custom arena passwords on my keyboard G buttons (ERMAHGEWD REPORT PL0X).

I’m no fancy man with my logitech G500, so some of these binds may seem odd.

Pros:
Not using “x” so i can always move forward while pressing any utilty.

Cons:
I play necro, thief, warior in that order. They all have only one F1 skill, i tryed ele and mesmer a bit and i have no logical place for F2,F3,F4. Theyre placed on 4,5,V currently, im hoping for a better mouse so i can put all the weapon/atunement stuff there

cons: i dont see any cons really, i like my setup cause both hands have balance number of buttons to press and that not only one hand is being overwhelmed by burden specially while getting gank.

I use default settings and use a touch screen.

I’m surprised many people stray so far from the default, I found that if you go from WASD to QWES for movement, buttons 1-5 are easily within reach, and you can just fill the surrounding room with utility/prof skills, while leaving everything else as it is.

In my case:

Movement – Q W E S
Utilities – R A D F V
Profession skills – < Z X C
Rest – default

I use Taugrim’s configurations, modded slightly. Eliminates carpal tunnel.

Tab-targetting and Marking target on a mouse with 2 thumb buttons (Mouse buttons 4 & 5)
I use mouse to look and aim (you can manual aim some ranged abilities, like Mirror Blade, Kill Shot, Fan of Fire), and click targetting sometimes.
For One-Shot S/D Ele, you have to use instant AoE targetting (fire at pointer) to pull everything off. You can use normal activate + mouse click but you need good ping.

I try to use the same configuration for all classes. However it’s best to customise to make some specific builds with 1 killing combo (e.g. Static Discharge Engi, Superglass S/D Ele) go off without any stumbles.
Blink utilities like Lightning Flash, Blink, Shadowstep and Mr. Wurm I put on A so I can immediately hit with pinky.
Normal stunbreaks like SYG!, Lightning Reflexes, Balanced Stance I put on S.

I don’t need keybinds cuz I play on my iPad!
