Q:
Pre HoT question about healers
A:
d/d ele was the healer. Generally, every player contributed to the team’s healing.
Ex. In organized teams you would often see water fields blasted for healing.
Ex. Consider dd ele + eng + shoutbow .
Of course and they were called monks… but that was gw1.
For gw2 i am not sure if healer is the right word but there were builds like shout guardian, d/d ele etc. which did provide some healing but they werent dedicated healers in the classical sense.
Healer?! What is that? I can’t understand, it seems to be this is a logical concept error for this game, because every profession does damage.
first was the AH support guard as a dedicated healer.
he was later outclassed by d/d ele, shoutbow and rifle engi because they could support each other with their hybrid builds, had more mobility and damage.
Back then there where also some hybrit classes, but the healing never was as massiv as it is today.
Also everyone basicelly only healed itself, but there were not that much outgoing heal like for example aura tempest does today.
Even after HOT, the Cleric Tempest was a pure healer of fun to play.
But yeah.
Some cleric necro at summer patch 2015 had a lot of fun too.
