Will it still work with the new system? I mean using a staff for swiftness or warhorns etc.

Personally I would like to see it go. Some engis even precast incendiary ammo with flamethrower. You should only have what the build you actually use offers.

There is risk, though, of lagging out while trying to swap and getting stuck with sub-optimal weapons/utilities.

I have played quite a few games as Dagger-Fist (no OH weapon) b/c of lag while trying to swap on my ele.

Some classes it’s practically mandatory such as necro summon swapping for a base life force for survival.
