Premade farming unranked

@OP: Premades should definitely be allowed to play in unranked.
The issue, as I keep saying on these forums, is a broken matchmaking system. Premades should be facing other premades. It makes no sense for them to fight against pugs.
I’m still hoping ANET does the right thing here and scraps the new system. It is horrible. The old system definitely had some flaws, but no where near the current situation.
Ranked/ Unranked…… Does it matter ?
- Rewards are the same
- People soloQ in ranked/unranked the same.
- Decent players Q in unranked ( better quality matches )
Add much better rewards to ranked and incentive people to form teams… Being on the LB righ tnow is shameful.
Unranked shouldn’t even exist with this leaderboard format.
They should simply have solo queue and 5v5 queue, both ranked only, that would improve so many things.

why? To allow casual and new players be farmed for points by experienced players?

I know people from my guild que unranked as pre made to learn pvp. Often is a case where 2-3 new players wants to learn pvp and they gp with 1-2 pvpers and learn the ropes in unranked. Just my 2c.
Honestly, full premades that do unranked are either really bad and realize it or are a group of PvE’rs/casual friends who don’t take the game seriously.
Either way, most of the time full premades in unranked are terribad and can be easily beaten by pug groups.. Don’t be intimidated by them.

Felt the need to bump my own thread. Another day in unranked..another day facing premades with ts. I just love how these pro players , playing premades vs random pugs, go out of their way to “help” you…….-_-…..by calling you noob after their “victory”

A group of PvErs who don’t take the game seriously…don’t need to go unranked as they don’t feel the urge to increase by 100% their chances of victory.
No we both know that those premade in unranked are made up by losers who haven’t got the stomach ..or skill to face a real team….a real team doesn’t go out their way to insult the enemy with trollish comments, especially if the enemy team is made up of pugs

That’s not my case, I get teams with well known names that just go unranked for an easy win; they use optimized builds and strategic rotations to quickly overwhelm the unfortunate pug team….most of these teams will even troll you in the end
There is just this much you can do as pug vs an organized team, sometimes you get lucky and get pugs that listen….but the majority of times, the pugs you get will simply ignore everything even if you beg them:
Ex.You ask help from a thief…he’ll ignore you and keep charging the turret engi sitting on far..for all match
The good news is, that it is unranked and doesn’t really count for anything. Most teams who play unranked are just being experimental, or are groups who aren’t playing seriously.
I would suggest you instead try to just focus on making the game fun, win or lose. For instance, I regularly bring Ice Bow on my Zerker ele and consider it a good game to land at least 1 deep freeze followed by blowing up some fool.

This adding to it groups that are just like the solo players, still learning.
Not every “Pre-made” is the Abjured, 55HP monks, Orange Logo.

That won’t stay that way if you meet the premades in unranked, I mostly queue solo in unranked and got a lot of really bad games the last days against terrible premades with at least two bunkers.

No, you are wrong. Anyone with a minimum grasp of competitive PvP and competition as a whole knows that a random team should never ever face an organized team.
To be perfectly clear, this isn’t just about GW2 sPvP. I am speaking about PvP in general, most especially about competitive PvP.
If one has any understanding concerning competition then I believe that it is fairly obvious why it must be so. If one doesn’t have a basic understanding about competition, then I respectfully think one shouldn’t post about it.
As a side note, I hear some people saying that some PUG teams can and do beat organized teams (sorry, premades It’s an idiotic term). Well, it is fairly irrelevant whether a (Very good)PUG team can beat a (terribad) organized team. That is not the point. It is meaningless to say that if the other team is terribad and my team is fantastigood then I can win.
In fact, having to say that my team can beat an organized team IF them are terribad should already point you to the crux of the problem.
If ANET, or any other company for that matter, is actually serious about competitive PvP then PUGs should not have to fight against organized teams. Period.
There’s no in-house, overly complicated, useless match-making algorithm that can compensate for that.
If ANET is not serious about competition, well then…. who cares anyway?
Because if ANET doesn’t care or is too stuborn to change, Why should we care?

Casual and new players are now on farm list (farmed by premades), that makes people run away from spvp and never come back.
With separate solo and team que, organized groups cant farm newbies. Yes we need solo and team que (both ranked).

That’s why the matchmaking exists. It should give them opponents with similar skill level.
I will do unranked with 2 or 3 guild members who are newer to pvp and want to learn, or sometimes even a full group of us. Just because we are a guild group doesn’t mean we are pro

No because the cheating sync droppes ruinined the gw1 playerbase by undermining the random arena.
SO i’m sure anet gave up on that system, because people would be doing it anyways, except only cheaters would have the advantage then. This way its legitimate for everyone who wants to.
Its a shame people are like that. But I don’t know of a system to stop people counting down on voice chat, or to penalize quitters without hurting those who d/c legitimately.
matchmaking systems are better with more people playing. period.
Occasionally our random team is competitive (or beats) one, but for the most part, its a pretty lopsided match. I don’t blame the players for grouping up and going in together. This is the match making doing it. I should add that seeing the premades isn’t frequent, but it sure stands out when it does.
Maybe have separate queues where those grouped together have to wait for other groups and the solo folks get matched with other solo ones.
