Premade vs Random teams in sPvP
If you are talking about tournaments, then yeah, it is hard to win.
Playing during the day helps because a lot of good players are doing pug tournies. During the night the good ones join their groups.
As any League of Legends player will tell you, premades easily stomp all over pub groups all day e’erday, and for tournaments, people just don’t go into it alone and with randoms they can’t trust to know strategy. They wanna go in with friends that they can coordinate strategy with beforehand and know what they can and can’t do, and build around the team’s strength and weaknesses. It’s just a better team format that way.
just play the thoroughly unenjoyable 8v8 where everyone runs glass cannon builds
Hopefully within a week or two they will implement paid tournaments and perhaps free tourneys get abit more “noob” and pug friendly. And you could allways look for a team in hotm and then take some time before you enter to talk tactics and get your “jobs” sorted.
TBH all professions right now are “FAR FROM BALANCED” and sPvP as everyone knows is just a joke. 8v8 imo is just chaos, they need to make the maps larger with an extra point maybe or reduce the numbers from 16 to maybe 12.
Love PvP but in GW2 the sPvP is pretty sucky due to the poor setup.
Just my 2 cents
I’m actually really hoping they split off the Tpvp to essentially have a solo queue.
Those of us that want to play 5v5 and with more competitive games but I would hate to have to join free tourney and end up facing a premade. Solo queue is great for more practice and even finding like minded people for premade tourneys.
