Greetings! It is with great pleasure that I present a new weekly podcast that I will be starting this week called META. This podcast will talk about the same subject matter that many other shows in the past such as SotG and SotM have discussed, but we will be taking a bit more of a laid back approach to it. Ill be bringing on 3 different guests each week to talk about balance, the competitive scene, pvp in general, drama , and more! We will also be talking about topics that viewers suggest here on the forums and in the twitch chat, so if you think there’s something we should talk about, let us know.

The first episode (the beta episode) will be this Friday, at 8PM EDT / 5PM PDT / 02 CEST so be sure to check it out! This may be a bit late for people in Europe, so if you are unable to catch it for whatever reason Ill be uploading the Vod/Audio to Youtube and Soundcloud. A summary of what to expect in our episodes can be found below, so be sure to tune in!

I’m going to be willing to discuss things that other shows didn’t really want to approach before, this including team/event drama, which is fairly common in gw2. Other shows didn’t really want to necessarily talk about this stuff before because it had the potential to stir up more issues. Shows like liveon3 have managed to cover that stuff professionally before though so I see no reason why I can’t. I’m using drama as a blunt term at the moment however. We won’t be bringing this stuff up to play it as a blame game or for the purposes of “firing shots” but more to just explain the situations in more detail and talk about it.

Generally speaking the next few weeks in the scene should be fairly eventful so there should be plenty to talk about.

Be sure to ask specifically about Rangers. I’m interested to hear from higher tier players their views on why the class got what most say is obscene burst and yet the class still struggles overall to find a niche to fill on a competetive team.

That’s because players don’t want to change their builds, or adapt, plus a lot of people log onto their rangers now. Bads will be bads.

Good luck Blu, hope it does better than the other attempted sPvP shows. Its a shame no one can get the devs anymore, that was really the big thing that made SotG so good.

I would be interested in “how to build a team comp”.

Like, you have guest ROM, lets say hes ranger – who and how would he want with him a 5 man group? Same for necro and other “unusual” classes unlike current celestial dd ele who you can always take 2 if its not to out of meta maybe even starting up from power ranger, power necro, condi ele…

Also question on Eu/Na point of view on bunker guardian?

This is a cool idea, I know ROM is gonna be entertaining

Blu just finished watching part 1. Bro you outdid yourself. The show imo is great. I really feel like I know the players a bit better which is good because now I feel a bit more invested in cheering for a team (Abjured FTW! Phantaram seems like a really cool dude) Hope to see more episodes so more people can get to know each team/player a bit better.

Also I agree with Chicago Jack. You can definitely tell Backpack is young.

Edit : Watched the 2nd video lol’d at the neck flexing! And Blu why you hating on MM bro. I can understand the turret engi but MM takes more skill then the turret engi imo.

Have to agree with you there, I’m a Phanta fanboy. After having watched GW2 streams since the game came out and seeing reets come and go, I have to say Phanta is one of the nicest guys to ever stream GW2. So chill and relaxed. I don’t think I have ever heard him BM anybody.

Quite a few people confuse being competitive with being a tool, and Phanta is a refreshing exception to that rule. Don’t ever change, man!

Blu i think u missed a great opportunity to ask backpack the real question everyone was wondering is he as dps shoutcaster said best in na.

But in all seriousness nicely done and hopefully you get both winning teams and can’t wait to see what TCG has to say about their matches against MiM. ( because we all know if MiM went to defend their lord they would of won that second match and who knows how things would of swing with less games and a break for MiM)

Can’t wait to hear peoples thoughts on the Wednesday WTS, if you wanted some real drama I’d suggest getting someone from Rough Boys to come on and try to explain the DDOSing LOL.
