Pro Players and keybinds
gaming mouse keybinds~
[Teef] guild :>
You’re always going to at a disadvantage if you use 6-0, because that means you’re either constantly looking down on the keyboard or clicking to use those skills. You should be able to reach all your skills easily (e.g. no more than an inch away from your movement keys) so that you can spend more time looking at other things such as enemy animations.

Just copy-pasted this for you:
Hello!
There are two different keybinding methods:
First one is called “reach”: you use the ESDF for moving. You can easily press YAQW and RTG and SHIFT+RTG buttons. Easy combinations: 10
Second one is called “modifier”: you use your little finger to hold down SHIFT and/or the CTRL key. You can press Q, ERF, SHIFT+ERF, CTRL+ERF buttons. Easy combinations: 10
Also never forget: the easiest keystroke is the SPACE. So now I always have the SPACE+modifiers binded.
and this is the tread from the past:

And the gaming mouses are also popular… Now I have a 20 button MMO mouse. So for example on my screenshots you can see *, /, -, + keybinds as well but these are on my mouse thumb-pad.
I hope this helps.

As an Engi player.. keybinds were a must. My 6-0 are completely changed as well as F1-F5
Keybinds are incredibly useful. I got rid of the 6-0 keybinds almost immediately.
“Buff my main class, nerf everything else. "
As an ele main, my Razer naga is indispensable!!
The reason they don’t use 6-0 is because they are too far away from wasd to use fast enough. That split second you have to move your hand all the way over to 8 or 9 can mean the difference between life and death.
I don’t even use 4 and 5 for this exact reason. I have middle mouse button for 4 and Q for 5.
Get rid of 6-0 and your S for backpedalling
No one should backpedal in PvP…
If you look at my skill bar the keybind makes no sense, but that’s because of my mouse.
You must think as a lazy person and find a way to remove your fingers from your movement key as little as possible.
I have long hands, so I can easily reach 4-5 without impairing myself, but it may not be the case for everyone.
Same with f1-f5, don’t use those > too far.
6-0 is too far.
Look at your hands. if you’re moving with WASD/steering with the mouse, why the heck would you move either hand to use a utility?
bind 6-0 to something that doesnt require you to stop doing something else.

I used to think (build op, pls nerf) like you, but then I took a nerf to the knee.

Started using a Naga to game like 6 years ago, not sure I could even play a game without it anymore.

I just want to point out, when you spectate in the esl, you see the keybinds of the spectator, not the player.

What would optimal keybinds be then? And is there a way to change them back for pve?
I would suggest a razer naga or something of the like. Then you can do profiles and set up multiple binds in the profiles.
The best keybind suggestion is to place the important skills and most used skills in the center and build around. A mate of mine on the naga put auto attack on 5, because it gave me equal distance to the other 8 numbers around 5.
I prefer the numerical ordering.
If there is a button you cannot confidently reach 95% of the time, then it should not be a bind in your rotation. This is the mantra I use. Because missing a stun break due to a miss click is terrible.
How is this build? Phantaram uses it. I just dont wana be confused, i have never messed with keybinds before. But if it will enhance my performance I will.
Keybinds:
1-5 = weapon skills.
` (button left of #1) = F1
LMSB (Left Mouse Side Button) = F2
RMSB = F3
T = F4
X = Heal
RFV = utilities
Z = Elite
B = About Face
MMB (Middle Mouse Button, clicking the scroll wheel) = Stow Weapon
Shift = Dodge
Left Cntrl = Swap Weapons
G = Call Target
Left Alt = Take Target
Y = Target Nearest Enemy
Tab = Target Next Enemy
C = Interact (Stomp, etc)
Space Bar = Jump
QWEASD = Movement (mostly just qwe and some s)
F5 = F1
A gaming mouse can make such a giant difference once you get used to it. With my naga, I have my entire skill bar at my thumb, and I get another 12 available keys just by holding shift….I would die without it bahaha
this is my keybides, note, i do not have a mouse with 20 keys.
gw1 – healing signet/frenzy/charge
I have fairly long fingers, my approach is;
- QWES for movement (Q/E being strafe)
- A = Look behind
- D = About face
- 1-5 = weapon skills
- Shift + 1-3 = Utilities
- Mouse 4 = Also = Utility 3 (depends on what class I am playing – normally twitch stunbreak where possible)
- Mouse 3 (middle button on the mouse) = Heal
- Mouse 5 = Elite
- F = Stomp
- V = Dodge
this is my keybides, note, i do not have a mouse with 20 keys.
What rank are you?

What rank are you?
why should that matter? i am 0, i play for fun now (unranked) but i used pretty much the same sort of keybinds in gw1 where i played top 100 gvg teams
