1- The poll doesn’t show the community how many people voted. The lower the vote count the less legitimate it is.
2- The poll doesn’t factor in that matchmaking is a problem, instead assuming that doing this will solve everything.
3- The poll doesn’t give other options for improving the “pvp experience” such as adding a new game mode like 2v2 or 3v3 deathmatch, or more frequent balance patches for example, or a PTR.
4- Who on the other end came to the mere thought that adding both a soloq option and team que option like it was previously would be a bad idea?
Like honestly, this is embarrassing. You should of had the poll on your website and posted it on reddit linking to the same strawpoll with the information I just gave you, and it would have probably gotten more traction “which I wouldn’t doubt is why you’re not showing how many people voted”, and it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest to avoid backlash.

Not compleatly true, if they asked in this forum, only PvP players would vote (same if the poll would pop up ingame before/after a PvP match) but the way they asked, every player will vote! PvP, WvW, PvE etc
Why would they ask about balance patches, ptr, etc, those are separate issues that would have a separate poll.

I edited it for you to make it more clear.

That doesn’t improve to the pvp experience? That’s a first. However if you’re going to call me out for being too specific, then in response they have to stop being too vague with their wording.
1. The results are for them to examine, not us.
2. The poll is about solo/duo q. Your nr.2 doesn’t make any sense. Has nothing to do with the poll.
3. The poll is about solo/duo q, not 2v2 or 3v3 modes. Has nothing to do with the poll.

2 & 3 have nothing to do with solo/duo q. For example people may have gripes about the matchmaking AND mixed queues with premades in them.
We know ANet considers 1 already since they polled WvW before and people were questioning whether or not they were ‘real WvW players’ so I’m sure they’ll check the numbers here to see if they’re mostly ‘real PvP players’.

Give me one good reason why to not include how many people voted? Well the only reason it has gotten to this point is no soloq along with alout of other reasons that should be included in this poll. That’s like saying that your car is on fire, the engine is missing, and the wheels are missing. You send it into the mechanic he sends you the following poll in the mail.
Your car is in terrible shape, do you think replacing the tires will improve your driving experience? Check yes or no.
Yes [ ]
No [ ]
Becouse it will do you no difference to know.
To me it sounds like you are overreacting, the topic about soloQ and team q has been a very big discussion so it is not at all surprising that this is what they make a poll about.
I myself think that matchmaking is more important but I am pretty darn sure that Anet is already trying their best to fix it and does not need more polls about it.
3 vs 3 arenas and 2 vs 2 death match is not something that has been on topic very much, also by adding more gamemodes to ranked would give them even more work than helping them with the current problem.
This is standard practice for any software development when it comes to new features or functionality.
Ultimately it’s their game, they make the decisions, we abide by them. They’re probably on the fence on whether or not to include a solo/duo queue option so following pretty basic procedure, they poll their end users.
As someone mentioned, the full analytics behind who voted and how many voted is for their eyes only. It doesn’t give the end users anything other than seeing posts about how it wasn’t representing all of the player base. And also, I’m sure people will use that number as a way to determine how many active users GW2 has.
Not such a great idea to broadcast that over a very simple poll about whether or not they should implement single/duo queue.
the poll even tell u % of players who opted out. i mean why not vote people u already click the page.

Because they decide. It’s not a democracy, they’ll do as they want, the poll is just a way to and a tool for their decision making. The results are not for us to examine. Not to say that means it mustn’t show it. Just that it doesn’t matter, and they prolly had their reasons for it.
That parable would only be suitable assuming:
- The poll is only for people who have never played guild wars 2.
- Everyone were forced to vote. You don’t have to vote, you can also select “don’t count my vote”.
- In the parabel, that this is the only decision to be made. And/or: “If you say yes, we will not fix any other problem.” This poll is about the duo/solo q respectively the tires and doesn’t take away form any other issue.
- That in the poll another decision than what is being voted for was presented.
… None of the above apply.
This poll is about duo/solo q. Not any other problem you might have in mind. As simple as that.
Stop trying to be a smart@ss, you’re failing at it.

It should be a log in poll like countless games over the years have done. You log in and boom you get a poll to vote in IN GAME. That way you get a huge number of responses just not a small amount of digruntled forum posters. A-net loves to do things the second rate easiest way sadly.
DELETE THIS OR THAT don’t fix the problems.
I think they should DELETE themselves if they can’t FIX or SOLVE their problems.
