Some procs are okay I guess, they don’t promote good play from the player that has the procs, but might force good reactions from the opposing player: like knowing CD’s of earths embrace as a terror-necro and safing corrupt boon for when it procs etc.
But atm, there are just way too many procs, AoE-boonspamming, AoE-condiremoval, automated added effects on things you will basically use anyways if they are rdy (attunement-switching, cleansing ire etc.) It’s just too much.
Agreed. I don’t know what is it so hard to understand about the concept of less passive play for AN, but they seem to be fixated on all kinds of procs and thresholds. After going through preview it seems that what’s gonna matter the most is how you build your toon, not how you actually play it. Build Wars indeed.
I agree, too. I’m very disappointed they’re taking half of the traits and making them into passive procs. It goes for both offensive and deffensive traits, which is pretty sad.
And if you think Elemental Attunement is bad, because you always get the proc, 20% flat damage reduction in 600 range is way way way worse.
I agree. We already have too much of this stuff and it doesn’t promote active skill usage or skillful play, more like promotes spamming any skill instantly on cool down.
There are multiple reasons why GW2 hasn’t become Esports and this is one of them (horrible match making system, badly implemented stealth mechanism, conquest based spvp being other big reasons).
