[Proposal]Season 7 Reward Re-rebalance
ANet isn’t going to do a a dang thing. Looking at their history of PvP changes/updates, all I can see them doing is throwing us a pitiful balance update. It’s like they don’t know how to change skills, traits, runes and sigils internally… The sad part is people don’t enjoy PvP enough to want to just do PvP. ANet should look into why that is. Rewards definitely NEED to be a thing PvP offers at a good pace, but it shouldn’t be someone’s whole purpose for PvPing. People don’t PvP because the population is so god dang small that MM can’t do its job properly.

Make rewards a function of wins. Even with 50% win rating people will get the gears but tying it to wins will give incentive for people to actually try and win rather than AFK.

They did that for seasons 1-4 where pips were tied to both rewards and winning. And they changed it away from that because of how much people hated that system.
You should be rewarded more for winning more matches, but rewards should not be entirely tied to winning. And that is the system we have now. Winning more games gets you the chests faster, but even if you lose everything you will still get rewards.
The only fix would be a way to realistically determine if a player tried during a match, and giving them no pips for that.

Not quite the same. IN Season 1-4 they tied rewards to progression in the ranking. Where even with 50% win rate you would never progress. Win 1 pip lose 1 pip. Season 5 and 6 they separated ranking from pips and gave pips for winning and some pips for losing. They should give ZERO pips for losing. Then when you reach your skill level (be it bronze or platinum) you should be winning half your matches and still get rewards even if you don’t get out of bronze.

I disagree with receiving 0 pips for losing. Sometimes you just get a bad team, and if you are in the correct division, whether its bronze or plat, you can’t carry a bad team if you are in the correct division for your skill level. You shouldn’t be punished like that. Similarly, you could really try hard, and it could be a close game.
Getting more pips for losing if its a close match is good, as it encourages you to continue trying until the game is over. And the only time I think you shouldn’t get any pips at all is if there were a way to determine if you didn’t try at all during the match.
Generally i don’t mid zero pips for losing. We should play to win – not for grind. I know that rewards farming is problem for brozne but it shouldn’t be allowed.
Or change like this: pips only for wining and close matches like 450-500.
