This has happened several times, I cancel and leave the solo Q’s and some time later while I’m afk in the mists I come back to my computer and I’m pulled into a solo Q match with people complaining.

Is the Q system broken?

I am getting alot of unrelated responses to this so to clarify:

I am being pulled into games after leaving the queue and having NO MATCH.

By leaving the Q you screwed over 4 people and ruined their chance of wining, and dropping their rating as well. Of course they complain.

I am talking about completely leaving the queue altogether. I don’t see why you would be pulled into a game if you are NOT queued. It’s silly.

It’s not like I leave my queue for EB and still get pulled into the map when I have already completely LEFT the queue.

I think the guy means: He joined the queue, then BEFORE any “match is ready” window opened he chose to left the queue.

Then he gets AFK and, when he comes back, finds out the game made a place for him into a match. As if the system forgot he left the queue.

I hope that’s not true, because I’d be scared to join the queue if I can’t leave it without the risk of screwing someone up because the game thinks I still want to take part in a game.

I wonder if Anet have tested to see whether it still thinks your in the Q even though you have left the Q, or at least make sure this does not contribute to a game beginning with 4 v 5.

I would like to see video proof of this though before making any assumptions.

Actually once I join a Q I always take the match for fear of screwing over innocent people…unless there were a family emergency or something. Then of course I would leave.

Yes, but once you join the queue you can’t stop being in it without risk, even if you haven’t been picked for a match yet. That’s the scary thing

This is what is happening, thanks for clarifying. People seem confused with their responses on this. I am not leaving in games, I am leaving the queue before getting a match and still being pulled into games.

It is like queuing for EB, leaving the EB queue altogether and being in lions arch before suddenly being pulled into the battleground although you are not in queue. Something is really messed up.

I would double check to see if you actually left the queue, I do this frequently and never run into issues like this.

I’ve noticed this too, it happens to me each time I “leave” the queue. In order to truly leave it you have to relog to character select.

It’s something Anet really should look into fixing.

I just tested this, I received a FaceTime call and had to end my queue at six minutes. After my call was finished, I was still in town as intended.
