Sounds more like bug abuse, which honestly should result in a ban for a good chunk of the season.
Yeah, if a bug becomes reliable, it’s where the G.I.F.T. shines.
1. Intentionally cause the bug, free 20-30 seconds of “free kill” and 4v5.
2. Unintentionally cause the bug, leave him as is because winning is more important.
3. Unintentionally cause bug, kill out of “honour”.
There is no obligation to make things fair if you have the advantage. There is no obligation to behave well if there are no consequences to malicious behaviour. This is just how we operate.

Don’t expect it to be fixed the issues have been here since HoT, Even though t has been requested countless times to be fixed and Devs have maintained complete silence (besides see edit.) and nothing has been seen to even attempt a fix, similar interaction to Rev Downstate forcing people into walls.
I can only think of a single word that starts with I and ends in E that’s 12 letters long, that describes this

It may be faster for you to type /stuck and then not move. After 30 seconds, it should teleport you back to your spawn. If you move or do any other activity, it will cancel the /stuck command and you won’t be able to attempt it again for 2 minutes.
Once it moves you back to spawn, you can’t use the command again for 10 minutes.
Which is a fares since the bug can be repeated every 40 secs… which has been seeing an increase in use lately during matches.

Its funny you bring up the community, before GW2 i played champions online and they had open world dueling and a PvP arena. In the PvP arena it was always messed up.
Always 3 vs 4, 2 vs 4 and we simply made it so 2 people would sit out. I use to sit out in GW2 and many others did in unranked matches.
But you have to realize, alot of vets are no longer playing the game. Alot of the best players are no longer playing the game. So its alot of new players playing each other who are probably just in PvP for the PvE rewards.
you don’t have to quit for the entire match, just going to character select and logging back into the same character will put you back into the match, but give you a roughly 40s death timer for respawn, and no dishonor
that sounds the same bug i use to glitch players “inside” gates on WvW.
Can either type /stuck (only once though, and DONT move while /stuck counter is going) or relog to char select screen.
Very annoying though, has happened to me more than once.
Also occurs from knockbacks (rev tablet, ranger longbow 4, etc.)
Happened to me a few days ago. Match was close and we were winning going into 400 points.
Lost 30-40 seconds to communicating and swapping. Lost the match by 75 points.
There has to be a way to improve collision detection around some of these locations :/
type /stuck and wait 15 secs if it does not work go to character select fast and select same character you will not get dihonorable
didn’t know about /stuck, thanks for this! happened to me the other day at keep doing shadowstep stomp.
They won’t fix it (i have posted about this bug for over year now, it was successfully ignored because apparently exploiting is welcome in GW2) and /stuck doesn’t always work, especially if you are in combat.
