Playing 4v5s because a teammate just decides not to show up is very frustrating. So I suggest some kind of punishment system for leavers.

If such a penalty was in place, it would discourage people from not showing to sPvP/tPvP. I also play LoL, and I think their method is something that can be implemented. If a player is absent for most of the game’s duration, at the end of the game they will be penalized. Maybe a slight hit to rank or glory, or something. But there has to be some kind of penalty, or people will continue to not show up in these game types.

Before they do that they need to stop matching pugs with premades. Right now leaving is more than acceptable when your pug hits a premade. Why waste your time getting farmed by a team which has both the advantages of planned team composition and communication?

I kinda like the current system. If you get in a game with 8 thieves or mesmers you can leave. After a few tries you will eventually find people worth playing with.

LOL games are much longer and much more serious affairs, people devoting 20 min minimum to a single match. SPVP is just a diversion.

Leave it as it is, I remember the WoW days, oh look the other faction is kitten us cause we got a bunch of losers in our side. -leaves- “LOL WAIT 15 MINS TO JOIN AGAIN!!!!” Yeah 15 mins doing nothing or 15 mins getting pwned as they would most likely honor farm us. Let’s bring those lame days back to the only game that been doing thing slightly right.

i think its ok now… he cant just leave tournament and join another one, he must wait until his team finishes, thats enough for free tournament

It’s very possible, and more than enough of them to be matched against each other, yet it doesn’t work like that. Free tournaments are there for premades to “practice” on pugs apparently.
