I was testing pure of voice earlier and I THINK that atm shouts are removing 3 conditions when it should only remove ONE from the runes and ONE from the pure of voice trait (2 total).
This is obviously huge.
Any chance people can confirm this? Or I am missing something (we took purity off to test it). And if so can we get a hotfix?

There’s worse, try out the warrior warhorn conditions → boons trait with runes of the soldier on.
The tooltip states that it converts 1 boon, it actually converts 2.
Runes shouldn’t affect it, they do.
I tested it again and I am pretty much sure there is a bug here. No wonder it was hard to train down some bunker guards recently lol

shout recharge is being moved to tier 1 trait, not warhorn conversion.

It’s been removing two for a while now, but nobody complained since this is a heavy condition meta atm.

Hmm, that’s interesting. It’s not like conditions have exactly been weak in teamfights recently. I’m glad the bug’s getting fixed, but it will certainly affect balance.
I just want to point out that the bug only actually converts 1 of those conditions but 2 get stripped. Source – fixing this is fine for sPvP but bad for WvW

Noticed it some weeks ago, when I changed my build/runes.
The Soldier Rune isnt the problem here, its only the trait, which converts 2 conditions into 2 boons.
This double cond convert is really nice in pve.
In PvP, I wouldnt call it gamebreaking. At least a guard is able to conter that cond overload. I remember times, where you couldnt do a kitten, cause other classes spammed more cond than you could remove.
We need more conditions, there aren’t enough of those…
It’s a bug that has been around for a long time, and I wouldn’t call it gamebreaking tbh.
Even with almost every top level team running a Guardian for mid bunker/support, and almost every single guardian running this trait + soldier runes + 2-3 shouts, the condi meta has hold its position.
I would even say that a well known and quite important bug like this hasn’t been solved before because it’s actually healthy for the game.

It makes people think before bringing condispamming braindead classes to matches.
That is not to say that classes who condi spam are all braindead but the specs within those classes are!
But even with this bug the condi meta is still too strong….
There is no condition meta sorry. There is a warrior meta with spirit rangers too.

And you are planning any compensation buff? Because you know, that heavy tanky condition meta with that mediocre condition re-apply system what arenanet feed with a lot of changes. And Purging flames buff is useless in wvw where mobility is a must.
I think this is not about only balance for sPvP, you sold a wvw game also, and in wvw guardian is only good for zerg support with only one or two viable build, concegration is not a option for his stationary mechanic, even buffed.

I really hope you(Anet) actually shave down and bring up CDs on some of these because it’s pretty ridiculous to clear a full bar of conditions and 4-5 seconds later you have a full bar of conditions again. Meaning you can’t clear again until however long your CD is(20-60 sec)
The only GAMEBREAKING part is that the Op only recently learned about this. It’s been like this for ages, it actually got “fixed” at a point and then it returned to removing 2 conditions, few builds later. -)
..and if this is gamebreaking I wonder how will you react when you learn that there is a certain rune bonus that acts completely different than what the description saiz, and it happens only @ guards. ^^

QFT. Not nearly as dramatically game breaking as the OP makes it out to be given how most of the up time of the game has been spent with it bugged.

Another Guardian condition-removal related bug that you may want to fix on the 15th is contemplation of purity (COP). Although COP is supposed to convert all conditions to boons, its my understanding that COP currently does not convert the fear condition into any boon. Shouldn’t it be converted into stability?

Seriously. The lame condition spamming is still old… Not like we can do much against nade engis condi necros and long bow warriors… GG on fixing something that really wasn’t broken anet.

Didn’t they say they were going to be improving support builds in the next patch? Not nerfing them to make condispam even more unstoppable?
For WvW (I know its the pvp forum) I guess it’s a good change. Warriors and Guardians are absolutely top tier classes there and conditions are rather weak in zerg fights because in good zergs you have like 30+% warriors/guards AoE cleaning conditions with shouts. With this fix maybe conditions classes have a chance to at least have conditions tick for a few seconds.
Also I think they should rather give classes which lack support options AoE support skills instead of buffing the support options of guardians which are already highest support in the game and warriors which are the new #1 class also in WvW/PvP in addition to being #1 class in PvE.
The 15.10 Patch is probably doing this by adding support to those classes which were lacking these options. At least that is my hope
