PvP 3 wishes -what do you want most in PvP?
-Balance of the classes (buff the ones that are left behind) (nerf some mechanics like stealth)
-Reduce the general damage output in pvp to have longer battles
-More maps that have different playstyles, like capture the flag, defending fortress i want more variety of game maps not only capture points, some kind of arenas, like in WOW, because now the entire competitive pvp its centered in capturing poits wich is lame.
-STEALTH is allerady nefed
-dmg is fine too I like it how it is now
- 100% with u on this one, but I think arenas won’t work
Stealth is still game breaking and OP. All the other games I have played so far serve the stealth as a means of escape. In gw2 people use it to overdamage over and over again because it is spammable. And most of the games allow stealth out of combat as a first attack move or to ambush. It is pretty stupid that people go invisible in front of your eyes while fighting. In gw2 people almost dont come visible.
1. More diversity in build options for all Professions (viable DPS, support and control).
2. Less high damage ranged AoE skills.
3. Blurred Frenzy now applies 2s of Protection instead of a 2s Invulnerability.
(The current Risk vs Reward for this skill is out of whack).
1. Solo Que
2. Much better PvP rewards
3. More game-modes
1. Better PvP rewards. SPECIFICALLY the method we obtain them:
-Cosmetic rewards are enough
-The way we get those rewards NEEDS to change
-Pro players can get the highest rank (Shark~Dragon) without grinding
-Losers in tPvP get compensating rewards for participating
-MORE PvP cosmetic skins in the Gem Store
2. Diversity of all 8 classes’ builds
3. Structured Dueling
-New maps specifically for 1v1 games
-Official servers for 1v1 games
-System that promote 1v1 for watching and cosmetic rewards specifically for 1v1
Champion Slayer | sPvP Rank 90
Dragonbrand
1) Soloq in a random map rotation
2) Better rewards based on leader board position
3) Deathmatch mode
1. Soloque
2. Some Builds / Skills balanced (#3 Skill on Flamethrower anyone)
3. better Rewards => https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Eventchests-for-sPvPers-Gems-for-Glory/first#post2200128
1.Build Diversity/Balance
2.Better rewards (20 slot bags for Bear rank anyone?)
3.Unique rewards ( if you’re going to separate pvp and pve, some skins should be unique, but give us the option to show them off in pve also. )
1. The ability to observe tournament games or high ranked games myself, after they have been played. (Keep them around for viewing purposes for a week or 2)
2. Small reduction in general spike damage output and general balance improvements. (warrior + necro sustain, initiative mechanic rework, useless elite fixes, etc…)
3. Other gametypes. (Lord kill as main objective, deathmatch, koth,…)
1. ladder instead of leaderboard (like in starcraft)
2. solo queue
3. less AI dependant mechanics
bonus 4. dervish
No honor in hotzerg aka custom arenas. (Sure you can go there to l2p but no cookies for zergers, or r60+ hotjoin heroes…just glory, since it’s totally worthless anyway)
Less brainless farmers in hotjoin that leads to:
Solo (And for solo i mean SOLO…you go alone or with full premade, no 3 on ts+pugs and crap like that) and premade matches split —> Total ladder reset and 2 separate boards for solo and premades.
Done.

3.Unique rewards ( if you’re going to separate pvp and pve, some skins should be unique, but give us the option to show them off in pve also. )
Yeah I’ve suggested this before too: how about a special transmutation stone in the gem store that will allow you to apply a pvp skin on pve gear?
I would like to see:
1. Seperated solo queue and team queue with seperated leaderboards.
2. Revamped the glory and overall reward system.
3. To add incentive for team queue there will be an ingame tournament created every month. The ladder for this tournament is based upon your teams ranking.
This will go completely automaticly. You have a couple week to get as good as a position you can for the leaderboards. Afterwards the bracket will be created based on this position and will be visible in the heart of the mists for all players to see and spectate.
The semi finals and final of the monthly tournament will be streamed and shoutcasted on the Arenanet twitch channel with a 1000$ prize pool.
Later when the pvp community grows more stable. The monthly tournament winners will be put into a yearly tournament bracket, which will host a more substantial prize pool.
To make sure that it is a full team playing there will be checkbox. That way you won’t qualify with simply a premade or lower your rating when running a replacement.
4. An ingame guide tool to help you with builds and better explain your roles (like Dota2).
5. A selection screen to incentive people in solo queue to discuss tactics and builds before hand. Also to make it more enjoyable for viewers to watch rather than just going over every1s build before the game.
6. Add incentive for winning by adding titles for reaching top 1000, 100, 10 and 1.
Honestly I don’t think you can wait much longer with these sort of things. The hype of the first tournaments is decreasing exponentially week by week.
Not ordered by priority:
1. True soloQ
2. Join sPvP and tPvP from anywhere in the game world
3. Multi-team tPvP
——-
4. Some kind of progression that actually acts as tutorial. Meaning a new player can only tPvP if rank x. I like the concept in LoL, because it makes sure new players learn a lot about the game before getting into serious business.
I wish warriors were able to pull off breathtaking “clutch” plays and pull off amazing unique teamplay combinations, just like the elementalist, guardian, engineer and mesmer. All without focusing on the damage.
I wish that tPvP was all-inclusive when it came to classes and “builds” and that teamwork/objectives was the driving factor.
Basically you want 8 same professions with different skill names. if you love the elementalist playstyle, you should play that.

2. Solo Queue
3. Solo Queue
1. New game modes
2. Solo queue
3. Team Ladder
WvWvW Guild From Piken Square [EU]
1. more build diveristy and fexibility.
2. balance.
3. reward system made rewarding.
1- When you que for a 5v5 spvp match, your characters should be locked ikittengnup, preventing the teams from counter comping each other. It’s cheesy, pathetic, and brings down Spvp as a whole.
2 – More build diversity, possibly more weapons in the future as well.
3 – A total rework of the current leaderboards, It needs to be team based instead of individual based. Which will also help team creation as well.

I’m doing a video about this subject and this topic helped a lot. Hopefully this topic will reach other people with it.
Cheers
1. New game modes
2. Build Diversity
3. Solo queues and team queue separated
1. Map Rotation( No more single map for Tourny ques )
2. New Maps(New game modes?)
3. Build diversity
1. Solo queue
2. Good pvp reward/rank system
3. I dunno, replays I guess
1. Split queues with ranked and unranked tournaments as well proper SoloQ ( maaaaybe DuoQ ) and TeamQ
2. Rehauled reward and rank system. Give rank points for example only from tournaments and a higher amount with ranked matches. Give special rewards for ranks in addition to making all the current rewards ( weapons & armor sets ) available by glory. Else, seasonal leaderboards rewards, though seasons should not take more than 3-4 months.
3. More help for newer players. Better tutorials explaining stats too, even bringing a new player into a special map as seen with League of Legends. Upon entering the Heart of the Mists maybe some cut-scene or a short movie showing the various NPCs and training spots and explaining the purpose of these, even audio-visually.
Honorable mention: More maps and probably some fun-to-play game-modes like deathmatch.

Balance/diversity in builds
Anti-zerging (make game modes that have more going on than just holding points) What if the team had to channel something to actually take the point?
Different game modes would be nice
1. Separate solo queue and team queue.
2. Better incentives to play. Once 1. is implemented, rewards need to reworked so that both soloers and team-oriented players can experience a meaningful sense of progression through their chosen play style.
3. Improved build diversity. Though I’m skeptical as to how far this can be pushed within the confines of the current domination play mode. As long as map goals revolve around capturing and holding nodes, players will gravitate towards heavy bunkering/de-bunkering specs, which in turn will pigeonhole certain classes to cookie cutter specs that excel at those two things. Still, I think build diversity can and should be better than what we currently have.
Legend S1-S3 with 100% solo queue 100% conquest

1. Random Map Rotation

3. LfG Tool (Showing possible classes, roles, rank, lb-rank, tournies played etc.)

1) rangers pet have a range relative to where their ranger is before they auto break off attack. Nothing worse than a giant kitty chasing you from end of the map to the other while the ranger is sipping coffee in the clock tower.
2) Check out a post in the forums called thief troll spec. The first reply on it is a engineer laughing at him for only taking on 2 people at a time(If you look in map comments you can see people laughing at the 2 warriors and calling them embarrassing. Too much evade for them to even get near the thief.)..they then post their own video of them acing 3 people on a point. May wanna look at those 2 video’s..is that the intended play style you wanted to see?
3) Revamp rewards..I am in dolyak and I ain’t gonna hit tiger anytime soon..did you wanna see me wearing the same clothes day after day after week after week? After so many hundreds of hours invested, I am rewarded, “Here is your near starter level armour. Enjoy.”
1: other pvp modes (fed up with capture, i want death match, priest kill etc)
2: im a ranger and dont want to use pets. give us a sniping mode (or sthing like that) what we can put in as a pet or activate when hide the pet
3: something like zaichen chest.

I’ve made a video. This topic helped a lot.
1) No execution while stealthed
2) Save / Load build templates
3) More maps!
(edited by Elricht Kaltwind.8796)
1. More game modes.
2. Rewamp gloy reawrd.
3. More tournament modes.
Note:
1: As I see in the game modes they are very much alike with a little diffrence in all maps but i would really like to get a few more modes inside the roster to enhance the game play and the gaming experiance, and it dont have to be comming up with something uniqe and new, for exmaple i would like a capture the flag mode of some sort or a more small scale attack defender sort of thing wich already exists in WWW but maybe for others it’s more of an zerg then accual pvp.
2: I know that there should be items that needs to be hard to attain like the ledgendaries but the spvp gear is a whole other question. I played alot of spvp but even think how the scale is it’s redicilous. Even that no one have reatched even the second stage at the glory rank (60 to 69) after nearly a year out is kind of strange and this grind to get kills are harder then killing mobs in PvE so i dont understand why it has to be so hard? I mean it can prelong the the gamers to stay in the game but when they relice it take about 1½ years constant game play or 3-5 hours a day to reach the gear they want , it gets tiering and you loose interest. I really like how the system with gear works for the tournament so i hope with more modes i hope glory can be more easly attained not to such a pain to grind, and one more thing it’s so hard to get in spvp why is it so easy to get in PvE world? It would be great if the highets rank would have the same time as making a ledgendary or something , time wise.
3: I like torunament how it is now but first i would like a roster so you can shoose wich map you want to play and the roster seems abit off now, why does allways temple or battle of kyhlo constantly comes up and not spirit watch? Also I miss the old tournament with team climbing. it has not to be the same but i relly like the concept becuse it keeps a more competitive style of the game. It would also be nice to add a few more torunament modes that existed in the old gw1 for example you joined with 4 others and then battled and the more matches you won the in a row the more reward you got , in this case i think an item loots table or simple more glory would be nice.
I really hope that gw2 spvp will get abit more attention since I feel that it’s in the shadow of all the things going on in the pve world. I love the spvp concept and it has such great potential so I hope you will not waste it.
For anet to fix this:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/Tournament-chests-and-transferring-between-server-regions/page/3#post2279042
effectively blocking people from progressing in ranks. Yay. For 9 months.
1) Solo matchmaking really working….
Not putting rank 5 togheter with rank 40
Not putting all teamates of same class… Like, 5 necros in same team or 3 mesmers and 2 thieves in a team….
2) Better rewards and item diversity… Update patch items to drop in pvp boxes as well, not only in Pve… The item design in pvp is horrible… Nobody wants to wait for 10 years to have a nice armor… And in 10 years the “nice armors” that we have now will be the “crap 10y old armors”.
3) Big Tourneys organized by ANet.
1. Different leaderboards for solo queue and premade teams
2. BETTER matchmaking which doesn’t match players in the top 10 of the leaderboard with players outside of the top1000. I’ve personally experienced this. I prefer waiting longer and get to play against players on my current skill level than get steamrolled 500 to 10.
3. A system that encourages players to create teams and play the game how it’s meant to be played – in a team environment. The current “I’m rank 50 so I’ve played X amound of games more than you which supposedly makes me a better player for team X” is not the right way to judge people’s skill level. I’ve seen plenty of rank 40-50 people which are not better than your average beginner. A convenient LFT/LFG tool is always welcome.
