I would actually play SPvP if these were brought to the game. I don’t see myself being interested until then.

6/ More Variety Builds for ALL Profs pls.
7/Adds NPC to support player, does not mean they have to overpower, just enough to support players where massive fights taken, or to support Prof that has no access to Range Weapon or Switch. Ex: D/D Eles and Grenade Engine Bombard on the edge of the wall in Battle of Kyo or Mesmer drop Iduelist and Occupied Eles while Iduelist just snipe him from afar. GS Bunker and Hammer Guardian. GS/Sword Shield Stun War, anyone?
8/Fix some Bugs that still exist in PvP. For Ex: make no sense when a player can teleport from ground through wall to enter Clock in Battle of Kyo. Mesmer Portal can still drop portal in clock and at the side points despite there are so many Obstacles around.
9/Add ingame-voip. In tPvP, where communication is essential and most of people have to soloQ. I would love to see it ASAP, not only it helps SoloQ but also make the game more challenging when fighting. A premade team fights with a random pugs made team make the fight boring when premade team totally dominating.
More and more still need to be done but have not thought about any yet.

ikr it makes combat feel so much more fluid, I was playing NW over GW2 for awhile just because I could jump around more in combat haha

Rather than that, I think it should be better if the Devs can give out Towncloth Skin, I think, maybe.

1-solo queue
2-even all the glitchy/cheap/nobrain stuff in the game. s/d thief, bm ranger, hgh engie. (NOTE: im not complaining its op, its just how easy and chease it is.). Fix the tp on ledges(make it even, it either works on all ledges or doesnt work on any. Hell, i’m not even sure if it was intended to work like this).
3-game modes.
1-solo queue (really obvious for a WHILE now)
2- build diversity (still obvious)
3- I think ill go with fixing terrain exploits over new games modes (if devs want to msg me in game I can literally show you teleports you can take on EITHER side to avoid destroying gates to guild lord)

Solo que with visible matchmaking rating (by extension, a proper team que with thier own leaderboards)
A shift away from NPC reliance. Not in terms of combat, but the vendor NPCs. It’s annoying with the rune vendor, Sigil vendor, hotjoin vendor and tournament vendor. Integrate it all into the PvP UI somehow. I want to que a tourney from anywhere in the game and be back there when it finishes.
Most maps even if they are conquest. I would like 10 maps by end of 2013 at least with tournaments being maps randomly generated.

3. Improved secondary objectives in the original maps (excluding Foefire).
1. Have a new section in hot join pvp for dedicated maps. That is, maps that are only that 1 map and do not rotate to other maps. That way you’re always bound to find the map you like, AND you don’t have to leave after every game to find the same map.
2. Have more usable items. One map has a trebuchet, another has a cannon, but other maps have nothing. Each map should have something you can use.
3. Have more maps that make use of height and water. Most maps are dry, flat, and have no strategy to them.

2. A way to make skills like tremor(warrior) ray of judgement(guardian) etc. less derpy if you use while moving
3. Stronger combos from leaps, whirls, and projectiles (blasts are fine imo)

- Better tPVP match making or bracketed ranks So you don’t get stuck with a R1 in a team of R40s. Something like 1-10, 11-30, 31-60 brackets.
- Open world duel/challenge mode or at least inside HoTM. In other MMOs like WoW dueling around the mailbox area etc around towns was a social hub. Get to know people and fool around while waiting for stuff. ATM, people in HoTM just akitten stand idle around. Rather boring.
- Better leaderboard tPVP is a team based not individual. A player that joins alot of groups and/or solo-q will have rating that fluctuate wildly. Have a leaderboard of team names would be better. Maybe there will be some real incentive to actually have a PVP guild, if its used as the name. Rating needs some rate of decay so you can’t play a few match, get rated, and never play again.

you actually kind of can make gold right now by crafting unid dyes with glory. I think i’ve probably made 20-30g off lucky black/midnight dye procs.
But it would be nice to get like 5s per win or something like that too, just so then the PvPers could have a way to build up money to buy skins/gems through the TP.

There’s a gold sink wherever you go to spend your gold (unless it’s in a third-party trade system). To buy off the TP, for example, you have to pay gold in the form of taxes. The buy from vendors, the gold you spend is destroyed and removed from the game. That being said, by increasing everybody’s pockets by allowing us to make gold off PvP, there will be significant inflation in the marketplace as the wealth levels of players increase (assuming you get gold directly), or significant deflation, on the other hand, could occur (i.e. if you’re able to get tons of mats and sell them off, then mats like Ectos will fall in price). Fortunately, the tax system in the TP provides an automatic stabilizer for this kind of stuff.

True, but there’s skins you can only obtain through Gem Store or worse, the Trading Post (like the 200g halloween shield). Aaaand of course, dyes! We can get those via PvP, but the PVE dye rate vs PVP dye is abysmal.
And of course, if you suddenly wanted to WvWvW, how would you equip your chars if PVP is the only thing you play? Note, I’m not asking for some huge amounts like 4g per hour, but I think 50s/h wouldn’t be so unreasonable…
1. Make Heart of the Mist free to play, just disable glory and chest drop.
2. Random Arena, like in gw1, just two random teams fighting head on, quick and simple.
3. Big PvPvE game modes (40+ players) with pve/pvp rewards for fun, but mostly to draw in pve’rs.
Hm, picking 3 is not easy. My biggest wish would be to evolve some kind of mid- and backlines out of this giant brawl pvp is atm. But this would include more than 3 wishes i guess. So here are my “little” ones.
1. seperated solo and team queues (maybe stay in solo teams after a win and be queued against premades after 5 won matches)
2. customizable ui, damage numbers and/or effects
3. possibility to unbind right click selection

Why does Raid on the Capricorn still exist? ArenaNet has already admitted it’s garbage by removing it from the tournament rotation.

oo i replace all 3 of my wishes with this.
a note: you wont have meaningful lines with so many teleports. giving people a 1 for 1 (defense and escape) would ruin combat lines because a aggressor can coordinate. some classes like thief have so many its ridiculous.
to have lines of combat you need the melee to have to close on and catch up to the ranged. letting them start in melee means the lines start tangled and crossed and only detangle with retreat.

i would like to see these too… but i would really like to see reward system revamp, whole rank and glory thing is just bad :/ and as long as Diversity in builds can be considered as usuall balance change which change/buff unused traits and skills, i would see it like this…

PS: random map in tournies combined with more game modes could solve a bit diversity problem… because in king of the hill or team deathmatch, bunkers wouldnt be as strong as in domination, same for glass cannons, they would be too easy to kill in such a team fight, so people would need to consider a possibility of randoming these modes and use team builds which can do well in all modes

2. Two leaderboards which show Team(Guild) and SoloQ/DuoQ. Because you can not expect anyone to come in this game if we don’t have anything to do, any “aim” like the SoloQ/DuoQ rating in others games, which help players to find a decent team for their skill(Most of time) etc…

I would really like seeing more different opponents and build possibilities in the game. Currently there are only few different builds for each profession.
2. More game modes.
New maps with the mode would bring a lot of new feel to to pvp. This would also cause people to use some other pvp builds that are not viable in the conquest mode.
Modes like “King of the Hill” and “Capture the Flag” would be very welcome. Capture the flag would be something really awesome!
3. Better progression/rewards.
The current rewards are ok, but I think they’re lacking something. The pvp level is coming quite slowly in the higher ranks so instead of farming pvp level we could try to get something else in pvp? New gear, new finishers etc. Something new to “farm” instead of pvp level and perhaps another way to spend glory too?
4+. Disabling spectating – a personal choice
After recent happenings I would really much appreciate a possibility to choose from options menu to disable spectating for myself. I’m sure that many would also like that. Don’t tell me about playing in a server with no spectator mode – there are none of them currently active and I don’t want to be searching for them anyways. I want to use my time playing rather than looking for specific server.

Few intelligent changes.
- Receiving EXP in PvP as we do in WvW.
- Performing abilities while jumping/in air
- Give us more options to change stat allocation. (Health Pools on some classes are poor, ie Thieves who can’t benifit from the same amulet that a Elementalist can) Really puts lower HP classes in a pigeon hole when it comes to choosing Amulets.

Platinnum – Zerker Guardian
1) Arena, with 1v1 to 5v5 brackets.
2) A combat system that requires players to engage secondary targets in some manner (like crowd control), so that combat isn’t primarily about tunneling one target.
3) A Heart of the Mists worthy of being our lobby area:
The 5 racial capitals and Lion’s Arch, for the most part, are breathtakingly beautiful. In stark contrast, the Heart of the Mists, in my opinion, is dull, uninspired, uneventful looking. It possesses neither the attractiveness nor the scale befitting a staging area in one of the core parts of the game, the part that aspires to be an eSport no less. I don’t get that wide-eyed awe in the Mists as when I’m in the 6 main cities, panning the camera to ogle at everything.
So I think it’s unfortunate that for sPVPers, the Mists is our “main city”—what some of us will be seeing most of our GW2 lives whenever we’re not in a match. Meanwhile PVEers and WvWers get to take in the sights of the Black Citadel, Divinity’s Reach, Lion’s Arch as they wait on WvW ques, attend to Trading Post matters, form dungeon parties, etc.
A Heart of the Mists as a zone in all of the 6 main cities would be especially nice, as now it feels like we’re in a hermetically sealed, sparsely populated hinterland, separate from the rest of the game.
1. Solo que / Duo que (should be top priority now!)
2. Better matchmaking (after implementing solo q, e.g. separate players to leagues, dont allow low ranked players to play with high ranks against a team full of high ranks, it is annoying when someone in the middle of a fight asks you, if we are winning or loosing..)

Out of curiosity Neglekt, if you could only choose 3 things to change/implement in sPvP, would that actually be your list? Not that I dislike your suggestions, but would you actually put those as the top 3 priorities of changes needed in sPvP?
Each to thier own of course, I like your ideas but can’t see how they could take precedent over real meaningful changes like solo/team que with ladders and plenty of other suggestions already mentioned in this thread.
