PvP Cultural Armor and Emperor title?
at the moment, no, t3 armor from pvp doesn’t seem to count towards the emperor title.
Think they said they will be usable in PvE but this isn’t in place yet from what I understand. I think I will hold buying it until it is. Also not sure what form it will take: I’m assuming that it will need the transmutation crystals.

Thank you, that’s what I wanted to know. I hope ArenaNet will decide to do something about this, as I think it’s only fair for PvP players that it counts.

Yeah I read something along those lines also, we will probably see it in a future patch.
It using transmutation crystals to convert/use it in PvE wouldn’t be that big of an issue for me, as the Cultural Armor obtainable in PvE requires you to use them too if you want them to have the right stats, so that wouldn’t change much. Needless to say it would be even nicer if it wasn’t needed, but well ArenaNet needs to pay bills too. :P
I was wondering this Q as well. I wouldn’t want to spend 60g and burn all my glory just to find out in a couple months this armor is going to be trashed…
I know they said the armor sets will be the same throughout the game, but I don’t think they’ve said you will be able to keep your pvp armor and take it into pve, have they?
They said that we should keep our armor skins in the pvp locket where they are (as in, not salvage them). So they’ll probably be important someday.
We know there’s a pve skin locket or something similar in the works, and that pvp and pve skins will be one and the same one day. So chances are, the cultural armor you buy now in pvp will be usable someday across the entire game. But that’s just an assumption.
I have this same question and it’s driving me crazy xD
From what I understand, it is true that our pvp armor is going to become usable in pve. But whether or not this cultural armor will count towards the achievement seems questionable. I have hope it will because the achievement requires that we soulbind the armor, so in pvp we can’t have it count yet (because we can’t soulbind it), but I guess we don’t know exactly how they will treat the armor, so maybe we’ll get gypped.
I really want to use my glory to cut the gold cost in half for this title, but I’m still hesitant. Hopefully this situation is clarified before the vendor disappears.
I’m bringing up this thread since we now have new informations on the April 15th feature patch. Did anyone understand if cultural armor skins obtained in pvp will count toward The Emperor title when the wardrobe will be unified between pvp and pve?

After watching RU my understanding is that pvp’ers aren’t unlocking the item itself but rather just the skin which we can transmute on to actual items.
Based on that interpretation I doubt it will change, unfortunately. However, that’s just my speculation based on their wording. I don’t know that any official comment on that specifically has been released. Pretty sure I would have seen it.
Yea, based on that last ready up, I’m even less confident about the pvp cultural armor counting towards the achievement.
My hope now is that the glory vendor sticks around well past the update so I can find out if it counts before buying it.
Anyone know if the glory vendor is staying after the update? I don’t think they said they were taking him out yet, but I’m not sure.
In the livestream all glory vendors where gone, at least I didnt see any.
