PvP Dyes...a simple deduction:
Did u mean pvp Dies?
Selling unid dyes from pvp would result in a lower value. The crit chance for rares are the same I think.
at least let me salvage normal dyes which are filling my inventary
Interesting thought.
Different ways of getting the dyes so possibly different results.
Aaaanyways, I still make enough money selling random dyes I make threw sPvP to get any dye I really want, so couldn’t care less.

They`re account bound because they`re easy to get.
If you can expect a reward it gets account bound.
That`s really all there is to it. Ask anet`s in game economists to confirm.
I fight people, sometimes they kill me, sometimes I kill them. Fun is had by all. [/quote]

I seriously lol’d hard at this xD

But so why we can sell them after opening? If they are the same as pve ones it’s nonsense……or not?
Seems that you can’t get my point…all i’m saying is that imo unid pvp dyes are different (Less crit chance) than pve unid dyes….and this is the only explanation of making them account bound as unid but nomore while opened…is there someone who actually read my post before answering? u.u

But if they have the same chance they would lead to a lower value of dyes as “opened” also, cause they would give the same number of rare dyes as pve ones…there’s something wrong here….really wrong…anyway we’re already testing this with a 3k unid dyes sample and after watching for the selling prices we will give an average value to pvp unid dyes so we can see if it’s around the same of pve ones…with 3k dyes there’s no room for luck…we will just see if they have the same crit chance or if someone is giving us crap stuff claiming it’s the same as pve’s

This is just a part of “If you want something you must go pve” bullkitten anet’s policy…
Btw on a 1.5k unid dyes sample average unid pvp dye’s value is 7.2 silvers, less than half the value of pve ones…still need confirmation from another 1.5k, need some time to get them…since pve dyes’s price is based (Obviously) on what you can get from them for now we have like less than half the crit chance from pvp ones..

Ok listen up you purring meow of a kitten, it’s like this:
—pvp dyes are easy to craft and obtain from chests
—therefore pvp dyes must be account bound, by the tenets implemented by anet economists
—upon opening the unid dye the value returns to being entirely chance based, aka mostly worthless, and thus stops being account bound
I’ll give you a few days to figure it out.

I think you definately can’t read….if pvp unid have the same crit chance as pve they would have the same value " after opening"because they would give you the same number of high priced dyes as pve ones….fact is that making them sellable after opening means they have lower chance to give you something valuable and you cannot sell them as unid because having a lower chance the are not worth the same as pve unid ones…
If they are the same:
10 pvp unid dyes x% (worth x on tp) —> 1 rare + 9 crap (worth y on tp)
10 pve unid dyes x% (worth x on tp) --> 1 rare + 9 crap (worth y on tp)
They still have same value as unid or as opened but:
If pvp ones have lower % then:
10 pvp unid <x% (worth x on tp) —> 10 crap ( worth <y on tp)
10 pve unid x% (worth x on tp) --> 1 rare + 9 crap (worth y on tp)
See? They would have the same value as unid…but value matches crit chances after opening, and that’s why you can’t sell them as unid, because value is based on crit chance and crit chance is lower for pvp ones in this situation and you would sell less valuable stuff for the price of better one.
If you need more drawings just tell me lol…i think everyone who studied just a little statistics can clearly get it.

Your entire argument is based off of the assumption that pvp dyes have a worse crit chance.
Pvp and pve dyes have the same ‘crit’ chance and it’s garbage for everyone. Even if you tried to do any statistics yourself, the sample size would be way too small for it to be worth typing out your alleged conclusion.
I tried to explain something really simple to you, and it’s the same principle found in all rewards in this game. If you can expect it / farm it then it’s account bound. If it’s based entirely on chance then it’s not account bound.

Already testing it on a 3000 sample…and for now on 1500 already tested pvp dye’s crit chance is less than half the pve’s and so the tp average value…around 7 silvers/each compared to 16
So if it’s based on chance and its the same…why pve unid are not account bound and pvp are…while both are sellable when opened? Give me a decent reason for that…with the same chance they would have the same value both unid or opened…

I have got many many rares from pvp dyes. including abyss (yay free 20g) and white.

I also won stuff from lotteries sometimes…but it doesn’t make them profitable just because someone sometimes wins…

Pve unid dyes are a random drop.
Pvp unid dyes are easily crafted and show up from chests all the time.
You can see that the pvp dye goes from being easily crafted to being a random chance event when it is opened and so it stops being account bound.
Easily accessible and expected rewards, like dungeon rewards, are always account bound. Anet does this to force items to be worth more on the trade post.

Same but it used to be a few months ago. For a few weeks, i’m getting only blue dyes and i had like 2-3 greens only, no more gold ones..
This doesn’t prove anything, but i had much more gold and green ones( not necessarly worth a lot) in the past than these days..
UnID dyes are one of the crafting materials needed for the legendary staff. It inflates the price. I don’t know of anyone who made money gambling with purchased dyes over a large sample size. The RNG always wins.
