PvP Forum Specialist!
Guess the budget is shrinking. Now they want unpaid, volunteer workers.
…In addition, all Guild Wars 2 Forum Specialists …must live in the USA and be age 18 or older, for legal reasons.
i thought i’d extract this from the post.
I hope for an american guy, with a lot of experience in spvp (high Tier too) and with an objective judgment.
Like phantaram for example ^^

Complaint n1 the past few months: Anet doesn’t listen, communicate, etc.
This is a good way of creating a better connection between the two.
Bring back: ‘Gamer’ title + MAT’s!
Throw out: Hotjoin!
This was announced days ago, and many people generally think it’s a bad idea. But then everything Anet does is regarded as a bad idea by the general population of forum goes so….
Either way, I don’t know of anyone who has, or is, going to apply. Most of the more known names either don’t live in the US, or don’t want the responsibility.

I don’t see the problem for volunteering something you like.

I think they mainly want a brief overview of post statistics, how many of the same threads, same posts; a report on what the majority of the players are talking about. Sometimes the Specialists would have to view large quantities of posts in a large thread; for example.
Being knowledgeable in that area means a person can decipher between which posts makes more sense; the important ones and which posts the community feel are important as a whole and remaining unbias at the same time.
Maybe even answering repetitive threads and posts, acting as a moderator and info man.
Game skill is hardly a requirement.

Wahoo. Bye friends.
People would never take you serious…. I’m pretty sure the Devs don’t want their eyes to bleed when reading your weekly reports, friend.

Hey you edited what I said when you quoted! That’s not very frandly!
Did anyone happen to catch the benefits of the program?
I think it’s a good idea to help bridge the gap. It’s better than silence, no?

From what I can read, there are no benefits.
Additionally, unless these forum specialists are getting some sort of insider/unpublished/priority information, the gap won’t be bridged. Just the same (lack of) information being pushed around in circles.

Dunno! I was just curious.
Anet is creating a team of Allie Murdocks! Who will be our resident PvP overlord!
Haha that’s quite good.
