PvP Guild Mission 300 Individual Points Req
I have a couple of clarification questions on this Guild mission. I have tried this with a group of guildmates but have not been successful even through we have hit 300 a couple of times. So let me see if I can get this straightened out as I do have a couple of ideas on what I did wrong.
So my first question is the personal score of 300 a summation of the guild party. Meaning if we had 3 people in a match (or time limit) we need to get a total of 300 between the 3 of us. So player 1 has 140, player 2 has 100 and player 3 has 65. Would this meet the requirement to complete the mission?
Or does one individual player score need to be above 300 to complete the mission?
Example: Player 1 gets 305, player 2 gets 250, player 3 gets 195. Does player 1 score complete the mission?
Or is it that each player in the guild needs to get a personal score of 300 in the set amount of time. So again a team of three…player 1 needs 300, player 2 needs 300 and player 3 needs 300 in the mission time to complete?
We did the first two scenarios yesterday but we did not get credit for the guild mission. The other item, I am wonder is to complete the mission does the guild members need to be part of a team vs. just repping the guild to complete the mission? That I believe is what I may have done wrong yesterday as we were not part of a set team but we played just repping the guild together in the same matches. However, I am not exactly sure what scenario actually would accomplish the guild mission.
Any clarification feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
1) So my first question is the personal score of 300 a summation of the guild team.
Yes, it is a summary of the guild team.
2) Do we have to make a guild team and not just rep?
Yes, you have to make a guild team through the Guild UI window (G key).
Hi, my guild and I did a similar PvP GM but the goal was to score 500 points. As said above you must form a guild team via the guild panel, queue as that team and get the mission started before queuing.
I agree about the time constraint, however, the good thing about GMs now is that they don’t cost anything to re-try. So, if you fail because of time or w/e just try again.
One other thing I’ll say is, we had verification of our success before the match was even over and I personally found that useful. Considering you can get the right amount of points needed to succeed whether you win or lose (we won btw lol) that is very useful IMO.
Good luck on future missions!

I was surprised they included verification for the Guild Mission before the match was even over. That was very helpful of Anet. Having a time limit does make it a challenge but it seems to favor one sided matches. 500 point requirement, is even more one-sided. Thank you for your response

1) You need to be in a Guild team for this to count. As in you have to create a team, name it, invite people into the team, and then into your party (or vice-versa), then queue up as a team, and activate the mission (or activate before queuing).
2) The guild will get the rewards, but only players on the team will get the individual rewards (Commendations), you can however repeat the mission again with other teams, or with the same team but different members, and get the rewards.
3) The mission is quite easy, and the tank issue is a false issue. Its quite easy for anyone that plays offensively to gain at least 100 points, if you do a 5 man guild team, you’re a cinch. Even with a 3 man team, even with a bunker, the bunker can do easily at least 50 points, so, for the 300 one, another guy only needs 150 to make up for it.
The 500 point one is a bit tougher, but still, so far PvP guild missions are by far the easiest to do as a small guild, and i personally love them.

For #3, that’s depending on the other two players to carry the tank. I guess, that works out fine as long as the other two guildies don’t get upset at the tank. For saying it’s a false issue, I disagree because when people are involved they have the potential to nitpick other’s performance. However, thanks for the information

my only problem is I only scored 300 solo once I think. Since I solo que I can’t get that reward :P to get 300 with 2 players should be easy.

Solo queue is different from guild team matchup algorithm. Guild teams frequently get paired up with other guild opponents. Solo queue is random, it is not always easy to get 300 points versus a very good guild team. Frequently, players get around 100+ points, bunkers get considerably less. Which gives the impression the other team members are “carrying” the bunker.
