With the upcoming Tournament of Legends and the April 15th patch, we have decided to resurrect the Guild Wars 2 eSports channel on QuakeNet.
What this means is that if you have any questions on your mind regarding any aspect of the game’s PvP or just want to have a place where likeminded people hang out, this is the place to be. Wether it’s about rotation, new builds or just general chat about the game’s PvP. Of course you can also discuss the various tournaments that are being held and if you’re lucky, your suggestions might just be heard by some of the tournament organizers idling in the channel.
This is also the perfect place if you’re new to PvP. Besides all the people that are hanging out and chatting in the channel, we also have our friendly neighbourhood bot, KarlBot. KarlBot is able to show you some getting-started guides as well as meta builds and streamers. Simply type !help to get started with getting to know KarlBot and his commands better.
For those of you who have never used IRC before, fear not. QuakeNet has a webchat that is really easy to use. All you have to do is click here, fill in your desired nickname and click on Join cat and voila, you are ready to voice your opinion or get help.
For those who wants to join via their own IRC client:
* Server: irc.quakenet.org
* Channel: #gw2esports
TL;DR: Click here, enter nickname, join, profit!
Nice imitative, I’ll hop on for my first IRC experience ever
hmm sounds complicated. what is this IRC thing. I had to hire a technician to install guild wars 2 for me.
