So, I play a power necro in pvp. I was with my sister in Forest of Niflhel, I went to kill one of the beasts when a thief on the other team tried to sneak behind me so I deathshrouded them & killed them rather quickly- well they immediately whispered me telling me I had been reported, then called be several racial slurs- I said “on what grounds?” apparently to them I was hacking, because they were a zerker thief & killing them apparently should have been impossible according to that thief.
I am so baffled by their rage that I am posting this in pvp forums- I blocked them & reported them for the verbal abuse bc of their racist slurs & moved on—- but now they’re whispering my sister telling her that they’ll have her banned for hacking? This pvpers rage is mind boggling.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before?
Should I file a ticket?

There’s plenty of salty people around the pvp community—unless you’re on a mission of justice it’s not worth your time to respond. If you feel so inclined then /report them as well but I wouldn’t waste time filing a ticket. If you report them for verbal abuse then the mod will look at the chat log surrounding the incident to deem if actions need be taken.

There are also those who try to mock and insult you as a way to get a rise out of you and throw you off your game. If they can demoralize or enrage you, chances are increased you will make poor choices or waste effort writing back to them. Best things are to laugh em off and just deprive them of any attention. but sometimes I can’t help but mock them too. All in good fun, of course. I like the self-deprecating jokes to throw them off.

This guy just sounded like he has issues though. You could refer him to some online resources to manage his anger. I’m sure he’d love that.

Yeah, don’t trip about it. Just block and report and move on. They can try to report for hacking, and after an investigation shows that you weren’t hacking, then they risk gettting banned for filing a false report.
